according to DDI, the newspaper el mundo-ibiza and formentera edition has gone bankrupt (due to weak advertisement sales and the fact hardy anybody was buying it) and was published for the last time yesterday :!:

always in the shadow of diario de ibiza and ultima hora, even if they gave away free subscriptions to most hotels and big companies on the island, it was brought to ibiza nine years ago by the matutes family. as expected, its rumoured the PP and their compinches are already preparing a new newspaper to continue spreading their hate for the PSOE and their allies.....

the mediterranean-asian fusion restaurant es rickshaw in santa eulalia (along the restaurants street) turns into the nepalese-indian kathmandu :!:

it opens on march 15th. now taken over by tika ex-chef of ancient people (where you can find since last year his brother in the kitchen) so delicious food guaranteed.....

the bar arenas in the west end (in the street between the ship inn and viva ibiza) turns into the indian ravin ruby :!:

as you might remember, it was already an indian restaurant some years ago. now taken over by the people behind father jacks in figueretas.....

after a year closed, the restaurant il tappo in dalt vila (opposite la oliva) turns into a record store :!:

now taken over by delta discos who, while others shut its doors, continue growing opening their third shop.....

on a curious note, UH published today that the new shop will be in c. de la virgen (sa penya)..... i spoke with them earlier on and they were not very impressed with the little cagada ! !
