It's their night, they can charge what they like. If people don't like it they don't have to go.

It's nice to have a bit of warning tho.

yeah but you know sometimes people are entitled to get in free if they are closely connected to the night or provide some sort of service in return.

my other half is a music journo and writes quite a lot of reviews of records on cocoon and was promised by the bods at cocoon records that we would both get in free - when we got their they made us both pay the 20 euros.

it's not a problem as we definitely got 20 euros of enjoyment but it left us seriously short of cash for the rest of the night.

Amnesia - Sat 12th August - Cream Radio 1 Weekender

WOAH what a night! Busy busy! Got in about 1am, stood under the balcony where some of the best DJ's in the world were standing, and the feeling of the bass was body-rocking!!
Only good things to report from Amnesia.
One bad thing - I had the worst luck in the world trying to get under the ice cannon!!! Everytime I went for a drink it went off   ..

Priveledge - Wednesday 16th August - Xtravaganza

I can't quite remember, but was this one of the Italian nights at Priv.? If so...made sense! FULL of italians, and every 15mins you heard "Da da da da da da, da." Got annoying in a way, but all in good spirit, so no complaints!
Priveledge is just something else, anyone who hasn't been MUST GO! We got there at 1.30am and it had less than 20 people in there - no joke! It filled up rapidly though after 2am, quickly becoming packed.
One bad point about Priveledge - the podium in the centre of the floor STINKS of something, not sure what. Man that thing makes you feel sick :spank: .
Apart from that, had a great night in Priveledge, and it's earned it's place as one of my favourite clubs!!

Pacha - Thursday 17th August - ?

GET THERE BEFORE 2.30AM LOL!  I didn't and couldn't get in, so all the way back west to San An I went 8O :x  .
Did see the dancers in the glass though - wwwooowww - hot! :p

El Divino - Saturday 19th August - Hed Kandi

Well, my first visit to both El Divino, and Hed Kandi. All I can say is that made Ibiza for me this year. Best clubbing experience I've ever had. Small venue, but the atmosphere is truly amzing. Best I've come accross. Music was varied, funky house, few sneaky R+B tunes, then later in the night a bit more trance.
The dancers were amazing, the view from the terrace accross the bay to D'Alt Villa is simply stunning, and the people are great.

Sometimes you go to a club and you dance because everyone else is, you dance because you're off your head on drink/whatever. But that night it was simply a case of dance because you can't stop yourself! The music, atmosphere, surroundings (and the fact it was my last day) made it so special, I lost control of my feet   .

If your going to Ibiza next year, I personally would say never miss Hed Kandi, I never will again!

Thats my clubbing review for this year :( .

C you all next year in Ibiza! :D
Martyn.

PS. Just checked onto the forum for the first time since back from Ibiza..to find my signature egg has hatched into what appears to be a chocolate muffin...bloody hell what a let down!!! LOL!!! I waited 2 months for a muffin!
