Can’t remember the last time I heard someone say they had a decent night at Circoloco either on here, or in real life to be honest. I wouldn’t touch it with a bargepole these days.
I did in early June. Probably optimum time to go in my experience.

it's naff and past-it. and everyone hates HI (according to people I spoke to)
I can confirm. It was like a slightly better version of a local disco. I heard some bad remixes of tracks that were shit the first time around. Nightmares on Wax was good in the other room and I had a few good moments in the wild corner. India was ok, she did a I live PA with no DJ! didn't quite hit the mark for me. Was good to hear her voice live, despite the cabaret style performance. Never going back. Don't like the venue, never went to Space. Crowd was cool though.

I just get the impression Glitterbox doesn't really know if it wants to chase the cool kids, hen parties, ageing queens or 90s nostalgists and so their programme tries to hook everyone in and falls somewhere in between - ending up pleasing nobody. Is that fair? Or maybe Pikes has the cool 'disco' market covered on Mondays and Glitterbox can't really compete with that. But then again, I'm talking in music terms, and they are a business and money usually talks...

Fair. As on paper Glitterbox looked good. My opinion is disco suits smaller quirky venues, exactly like Pikes. You live and you learn.
