ibiza 2019 observations

^^^ talking about the last three days, specifically.

And if I thought it was difficult up until now getting a legal parking space within 5minute walk of my apartment, the last week has been impossible whether I'm returning during the day, evening or middle of the night.

Somebody was asking about fashion trends in this or another thread. Maybe I simply missed it last year, but this year the big fashion brand lots of guys are wearing is something called DSQUARED2. Very popular amongst the Italians. Personally, I'd never even heard of it until this summer.

It's not a prerequisite, but the recurring theme seems to be that you are likely to wear this particular clothing line if you're bulked up. (leg day optional)

A few bars havent moved with the times though, im quite anti-VIP culture but theres no excuse for sticky floors, dodgy spirits and bad toilets that some West End places still have.

Come on... that’s the whole charm of the west end isn’t it?? The day the bars there move into swanky cocktail venues would be a shame imo.

Dsquared2 is by twin brothers hence the name. Been going for ages but not british style, bit ed hardy blingy for us methinks.

You seriously haven't heard of Dsquared2 ? Been living in a box - the Reggaeton crowd no doubt bringing more of it in . Less affluent Napoli types will likely be in Superdry. Those with a tad more moolah are likely wearing Vetements, Gucci or Off White. Saint Laurent is strictly for the VIP rooms. ? Ushuaia check-in will be full of high end luggage more specifically Rimowa (especially Chinese / asian) or LV (everywhere there's money).

I'll be willing to bet O Beach pose-beds have Sink swimwear, Destino/Nobu Orlebar Brown, Armani & Vilebrequin, and PDB strip Gym King and SikSilk. And I haven't even considered the girls yet ! I may spend all day hiking around and swimming off far flung rocks but a casual eye cast around the airport tells quite a story !

Our lass bought me a pair of denim shorts for Ibiza in a few weeks.

Does the average Male have legs like matchsticks these days?

My overdeveloped quads, toughened by years of mileage carrying weight over undulating terrain, could barely squeeze into them. Felt like a pair of kids shorts or something.

She thought it was hilarious. I actually thought they were hot pants or something.

She took them back and got me a pair two sizes bigger than I’d normally wear.

Much better ?

Genuinely could not wear shorts that tight!

Nah mate, genuinely totally oblivious to it. Not that I'm a style icon or anything ??? Must be much being worn this year though as I didn't notice it at all in 2018.

Never mind George, just bought an unworn, cotton, (slight check, sorry) origin; BHS from a hospice charity shop, 99p. Couldn't give a sh!t about fashion and what anyone else thinks, it's all about comfort.

I'm not big at all and even I would have to size up considerably to fit into most of their stuff Skinny jeans are still all the rage it seems and no idea how people get them on unless they have a lot of stretch. Must get sewn into them or something !!

Several things are contributing to San An being on the decline.

The exchange rate for the pound is poor, Ibiza has always been a premium prices destination but its more expensive than ever at the minute.

O Beach looks busier than ever, which on one hand is great for San An, but on the other if you've spent a day in there you are likely be skint and tired and unlikely to be out in San An Town later on.

The West End closing times have killed the atmosphere down there. Used to like watching the chaos from the terrace of a bar, but now your forced inside at midnight it kills the vibe. The music in the bars is now limited, I actually miss cheesy EDM blasting in my ears. Then theres the 3am closing time, this is fine if your heading to a club, but if you are just staying in San An it isnt late enough.
