yes and other stuff, ie albums i wouldnt mind on my ipod but cant be arsed to buy
Soulseek is what's called a 'peer-to-peer' file sharing program.can someone explain how soulseek works to a novice like me?? i can't see the website cos work blocks it.
If you want whole albums, I'd recommend Bit Torrent over Soulseek. I think Soulseek is better when you're looking for individual songs, mixes, etc.yes and other stuff, ie albums i wouldnt mind on my ipod but cant be arsed to buy
Soulseek is what's called a 'peer-to-peer' file sharing program.
You download the program from the website, install it and start it up, at which point you'll have to sign up with an alias (it's free). Then you tell it which folder you keep your music in (so that you can share with others... it's not mandatory, but it's the right thing to do).
Then you use the search function to find songs you're interested in and pick songs from the search results to download. There's also a function to add other users to your list of friends so that you can browse through their collections and download.
There are also chat functions but I've never used them, except once with Dan X, whom I randomly ran across when searching for a song![]()
