HYDE PARK ANYONE?

lucky ones, the only festival we had here, becides from the dull rock´ish ones was the one where "all" (the about 100 clubbers) met up on the town square and took a bus to germany to participate in the love parade!

i'll not be there coz im away on a small island, near spain.

Seems more a pop than dance event this year. Although they've booked loadsa big names Blue, Cheeky Girls, Liberty X, even not as pretty as he was Matt Goss for the pop stages, the dance tent(s) seem a pretty tame affair

I reckon coz it's in Hyde Park, they have had to tone things down a wee bit. you can get away with more 'fun' in Finsbury Park or Brockwell, than you can 10 mins away from Tony Blair's house.

The weather will be great. Much fun will be had. Enjoy.

what´s that Hyde Park Thingy about???

its a free(donations welcome?)i think festival celebrating gay freedom of expression and life. something like that, and it surely is one full on party not to be missed if your around london and want to get down with the maddest, baddest and most fabolous of them all. gay pride is really a celebration of all life wether, young old, gay or straight, it all just about open minds and party- party... 8)

unfortunately its far from 'free' this year. try £ 25 (£20 if u bought ur tickets before 01 July) !!!! those happy 'free' days are long gone it would appear. still, shud be a good laff - if you avoid the main stage :?
will u be looking like ur facelink pic mr.robder - if so i'll keep an eye open ;) - well until i have my vodka goggles on!

Something like that, give or take a bit of bleached hair and a few dreadlocks down the back of my head.

I've managed to get some stewarding work so that I can blag my way in free. I'm proud to say I've never paid the entry fee because I think it's sh*t they've started charging people for something that is supposed to be political and free.

oh blimey! which bit is bleached? just the dreadlocks? :)

i totally agree with the 'not buying ticket' stance! i stopped going the 2nd year of ticketed entrance. wasnt gonna make the same mistake twice! but then again if people had made a larger contribution at the entrance when it was free, it might not have turned nasty! but still - this year looks like a good 'un and im really looking forward to it. although is lacking a little on the dance stuff.
mind u the weather looks as dodgy as always - black cloud with raindrop on BBC website. bring a big hat to cover those dreadlocks matey!

Unfortunately I cant make it this year as I have a wedding to go to but have been informed the wedding may not go on too late so I might make a guest star appearance later in the evening. Its on my way home so would be rude not too!!!! Might go on to Universe after but will have to consider on the day.

Neither! Look for a house party because the clubs will be soooo packed! If you do fancy going out, I'd pick the biggest (is that Universe?) becuase you can guarantee room to move.

The SE1 club where they're having universe is absolutely massive, by far the biggest venue in London so should be ok. Know what you mean about most places being unbearably rammed tho

Might go down tomorrow for it. Just can decide, would cost us a wee bit as it is last minute flights but would be well worth it.

Went to the one two years ago and loved it! Went in full highland dress  and done the march. The looks we got! lol

For Robder: Went to the Brighton one last year! Boy did it pi$$ id down or what? Ended up going to Wildfruit at night time; total disaster! Bloody fire alarm kept going off when the put the smoke thingie on and we all had to evacuate! Disaster.
