How long til' you go?

Booked up back in January for 9 nights, me and the missus have been every September for the past 3 years.

After a right ****ty year, and plenty of hard work, we've been so looking forward to our break!

Flying out on Mon 10th Sept........................ that was until this morning.

A close relative of the missus has been fighting Cancer, but has been told there's nothing more they can do. Been sent to a hospice, and not been given very long at all.

So trip cancelled. Gutted, but some things in life are more important.

Have a good one all my September people!! Drop a couple for me and the other half. See ya next year x 8)
 
Oh my, 7 days to go, I'm really starting to s*** myself.
Saying that my case has been packed for 4 weeks already so the excitement is making me feel about 7 years old.
 
Booked for four days in February to Talamanca, as I loved it so much this year at the same time. Gone with B.A direct flights from London City. Also, already booked for two weeks for June 2013 as found a really good price from Thomas Cook. Just a word of warning guys...the June flight from Birmingham Airport is already totally booked up. Are more people booking up really early?:eek:

We`ll be there in feb as we have for last 3 year. Favourite time to go too.. :D

Very much doubt the Thomas Cook flight is booked up. They likely only released a few early seats and are holding the rest back for package deals with more profit margin later in the year or next year. If they don't fill it with high-margin holidays they'll be flogging off the seats 2 weeks beforehand at £30 a pop ... as per usual !
 
Sorry, kimajy, I should have said that we have booked a package holiday with Thomas Cook for June, not just a flight. That is why I was shocked to see that there is no more availability on that date already. Perhaps lots of other people spotted the same bargains and booked up on the strength of it. We saved £200 which will pay for the car hire! Thinking of doing a tour of all the watchtowers, although on reflection, it might be better to do that in February.
 
Craig, when are you going in February, and where are you staying? I had the best time this year and did an epic walk from Talamanca right to the far end of Playa d'en Bossa and back again. O.K, I confess, I did get a bus back to Talamanca from the bus station in Ibiza town as my feet gave out at that point! Loved, loved, loved it all!
 
Around the end of Feb for the Pintxo trail in San AN.Did`nt book atin yet gona wait a few weeks to see what on..Feb is great for festivals ect.
 
9 days :)

Not counting the days though - need to finish an urgent bit of work before departing, so that I would have nothing to worry about while on the island. I would rather go later - but closing parties cannot wait :D
