How did you meet your current partner?

Think I told this story on another thread but here goes...

Originally met around 18 months ago when I pulled his then girlfriend at a party in a hot tub...a few months ago on my 'last' night in Manchester I wanted a cigarette in the pub and the only dry seat due to the torrential rain (it's Manchester so no surprise there!) was next to him...we got chatting, realised we both worked in the same sector (IT recruitment), we both worked previous seasons in Ibiza, we both had done law at university and we both had a childhood pet which was a cat called Whiskers who lived till it was 23...Despite me having a boyfriend I went back to his...

Next morning arrived (he was already about 2 hours late for work!) and we sat and chatted for ages and realised we had met before and I'd pulled his gf. I never actually left Manchester that day in the end, I stayed 3 more days with him, 6 weeks later I flew back to the Uk to spend 5 days with him and today he's booking to come over and see me! Roll on October and lets see what happens then :) (he's already told me he wants me to move in with him when I get back till I atleast get myself sorted with something else!)

Well, he's not really my partner, but we met after my cousin shot to international fame. He's going to leave her for me soon, but they earn a lot as celebrity couple so he needs to wait for that to wane.

We snuck off to Ibiza for a weekend this season and once I saw him in his vest and cap I fell even more in love. Sometimes out there he wore a patterned pair of satin flared trousers and did an amazing dance he called 'shuffling'. *swoons*

............its always the vests that do it for a lady :D

first time we briefly met was at dc10 in 2007. hardly remember this though tbh
then saw her again at space closing just a week later - she was there with another guy and i then still had a gf anyway, so...

then i ran into her again at pure pacha opening 2008 - she was like "ah your the swiss guy with the strange name"... started to go out together and first kissed at we love opening 2008.
wow it's been a while since that! we've had many ups & downs, but now everything's great! 8)

She was working as a waitress in a cocktail bar...well Wetherspoons actually :p

6 and half years later I'll be asking a certain question in Ibiza next week...:o

We met 6 and a half years ago on the tinternet. We arranged to meet at the Tottenham flyer pub ( I think its called that) at the bottom of oxford street, anyway we went on the lash all night and he came back for a drunken fumble. I got up and went to work and forgot he was there and locked the door, had a call saying " I cant get out" so explained how, which included climbing over a large gate! Its odd as me and my 2 mates I shared with all met our other halfs within a couple of month of each other and they are both married and having kids

Thanks for the messages folks feeling pretty nervous now! I'm thinking of either just going down to the beach for the sunset (any tips on a good beach to do it on?) OR going to Ibiza Town during sunset after a meal and finding a spot that overlooks the port...thoughts?

No Boddingtons but they do a great line in any alcopop you like :?

Do you know where I think you should do it? Book at table at La Torre - http://www.hostallatorre.com/en/restaurant.html just outside San An the views are second to none - its chilled and romantic and lovely food, really reasonable prices too. You can walk down to the sea from the restaurant - its really quiet down by the rocks - no one else around for sunset (ie no clapping seals like the sunset strip) - pop the question and then have dinner 8)

Hope all goes well.
Been single for coming up to 10 months now. Pretty content with it too. :)

I met my current partner on twitter. 8) A mutual friend retweeted one of my tweets which she didn't agree with one bit and went on a rant at me.

Mutual friend introduced us both shortly after and have been with her since. only 6 months but things are going well.

Is that ten months since you split up with the missus you used to travel to see? * Crikey, where does the time go?

*Remembered from weekend reports etc

I was discussing this with her yesterday morning actually and it involves Ibiza :D Neither Lu or myself were in a very good place when we met for the first time, i was a couple of months away from walking out on my 7 year relationship and she had followed her boyfriend to Australia with the plan to emigrate only to be dumped the day she arrived (he had met someone else while she sorted some last minute bits in the UK) She joined the company i worked for because she wanted to do landscape design and we got on really well and did a lot of work together and i bored her to death with various tales of my 12 visits to Ibiza because she had never been. Fast forward 3 months and i'm single again and living in my new place and we started socialising outside work and unbeknown to me she quite likes me but i didn't have a clue. She stayed over at mine a couple of times after some boozy nights but nothing really happened and after a heart to heart i said i wasn't ready for a relationship and we sort of drifted apart for a bit. 5 months later i got offered a new job so i moved out the area and we text each other occasionally and meet up for beers and one day i had a brainwave. "Let's go on holiday to Ibiza" We have both had a crap year and i thought we could go away and have a laugh together. She said no because she was still keen on me (i had no idea) but i was determined and gradually i broke her down :D She kept saying she couldn't go... couldn't afford it blah blah blah so i booked a 2 week holiday and told her the following week 8O

July 2010 and after taking her to Cream for the first time on our first night (she was dumbstruck) and then a private beach party with A&B the following night we decided to have a couple of quiet nights and after a chilled out day by the pool and a few cocktails the inevitable happened :D It was my birthday the night Spain won the World Cup and we had gone for a meal and were watching the game in San Antonio square and i looked at her and said i want to keep doing this when we get home..... So went away as mates and gained a girlfriend and a best mate :D That was just over 2 years ago and i drunkenly suggested moving in together this weekend and we are heading back to Ibiza for our 6th visit together in less than 3 weeks so all is good
