you almost sound as if your actually trying to justify these racist chav vermin,i was appalled looking at this programme and im not even English,if hooligans want to meet and kick the fcuk out of each other let them do it i say,it's when these racist chav scum start attacking innocent people and harrassing women i draw the line, these people are a cancer on society and should all be rounded up and thrown in jail some hard labour would make them think twice about behaving like that again, vermin is all they areDan x said:Why? We're you disappointed with the organisation? Lack of commitment or calibre of fighters?
I mean, they weren't even carrying weapons.
And all them pansies called that fighting, eh Kang!?
In all seriousness, the program was shameful. Bottom line editing, and they must have searched REAL hard to get the footage they did. The fact there wasn't (in all fairness) much of it, just shows how little they had to go on.
The atmosphere out there, whilst Yes, rowdy, was very good natured, and yes, the chanting seem's bit out of place watching it at home (and there were LOADS of embarassing English on that show), but you really did get the worse of the worst on that show. The desperation of the producers was tangible IMO.
Let's face it, it was bottom of the barrel TV. Reporter gets assigend to go to Germany to get footage of British Hooligans, and make it out that it was all full of rowdy Britds wanting to beat the cr4p out of anyone else.
It simply wasn't the case though.

Buckley said:Might be different now but in my day (it were all fields around here etc) following a team was all about tribal belonging. It was, and maybe still is - someone who still goes regularly will have to update me, as much about belonging as about admiration of the particular style of football that your team play. Must people´s allegiance comes from family or geography, not from an in-depth of different teams followed by a reasoned choice.
Following football use to mean following a team. I still play regularly and watch any games that are on TV but my old definition that doesn´t make me a ´footbll fan´.Backatya.
Hungarians call themselves Magyars. That's the proper name of the language/ethnicity.Super Polack said:A Magyar ? I coulda sworn he was Hungarian. What is Magyar ? Is that something to do with Mayans ? That's a bit ancient though. Excuse my ignorance, my geography is usually what gets me the girls.
Super Polack said:I wasn't getting eggy or anything Buckley just interested. I understand now and agree, I don't go at all, due to geography and finances and consider myself a follower rather than a fan. However, no reason to lose allegiance to a club. I'm still a supporter and Newcastle are still my club who I urge on. Even though I go Bournemouth way more, I'm not a fan of theirs. All giggles.![]()
