hed kandi

I haven't, but 6 of my mates have just returned from a 4 night trip. They wnent to Pacha twice, Eden (just to have a night round San An) Space & El Divinio. They all enjoyed El Divinio - Hed Kandi the most! They said the music & atmosphere was amazing!!

Went last Saturday, very cheesy house but was a top night and had the most birds out of the clubs i went to, so plenty to look at. If you're planning to go to space the next day, suggest you get off around 6ish for a quick nap.

I was planning to go but I can't find my mullet or my bad taste in music anywhere. Was sure I put them safely away in my wardrobe. Gutted!

I will be going for the pure fact that women love Hed

Kandi.

I went to Hed Kandi on 23rd June. Really enjoyed it but it was packed until about 5am - big queues even for guys toilets (not just the cubicles either) and moving on the dancefloor was pretty difficult. Spent half the time on the terrace. Drinks seem to be even more expensive this year in clubs too - 10 euros for a beer.

I will be attending The Kandi this year... The music wont really be my cup of tea, but my friend is in to the pop side of house so I'll go just to make up for putting him through Cocoon.

The 'clientele' Hed Kandi attracts should certainly make it bearable.:p

Anybody tried Moneypenny's on a Friday?:?: We are going to Pacha for Sharam on 27th but wanted to go somewhere different the second Friday and Tongy wasn't that great last year either.

The HK opening is by far my worse party of this summer.....(i know what im saying, i get out every night from 1 of june...)really **** music, packed, only drunk english tourists.......Divino can sometimes be good but not on saturdays......

Ok. can we have some kind of consensus here please? We've got people saying its the best night ever and some say its the worst... :?:?:?

We are all aware of Hed Kandi's music policy.

What people want to know... Is the night fun, friendly and dancy? or is it moody, full of drunks and people with really bad attitudes. Regardless of how serious your musical taste is, this is a straight forward question.

Thanks

(Confession time) I quite like Girly House, but I think you'd do yourself a favour doing Defected at Pacha instead.

Hed Kandi is the brand that every west end dweller recognises and the divino staff let in twice as many people as the club club actually holds. So gets too rammed, with alot of people who aren't really that into the music.

IMO

thats life i'm afraid, some people like some things and other people hate those very same things.

it's not rocket science....the music is vocal/cheesy/commercial house, its very busy, with a largely British crowd.

Well said,

I prefer underground music (house and techno) so i'm drawn to certain labels, djs, artists.

For a Hed Kandi night it's a anthology of their big tune cds with faceless DJs (which in my view means less creativity on the decks).

Defected can be big room funky house, but as they have a variety of UK and US Djs playing, they bring their own style. (I still wouldn't go Defected either) 8O

But whatever floats your boat.
