a couple of years ago i passed up an excellent viva! lineup of sasha, lawler, paolo mojo and desyn masielo to go to cream with my pal for oakenfold and tiesto.

that said, i had a good night rolling about on the floor underneath some stairs in amnesia trying to get some girls number (admitedly with hindsight not the best pulling tactic ever) and met some crazy italians with the whole sweatband thing going on.

I know, he's more in to indie rock than dance music, he likes a bit of vocal house and cheesy trance though.

He almost had me going to DJ Sammy at Es Paradise too.8O

I'm not sure he really understands what Cocoon is to be honest... I'm sure he'll like it just for the awesome atmosphere though.8)

Hed Kandi is the brand that every west end dweller recognises and the divino staff let in twice as many people as the club club actually holds. So gets too rammed, with alot of people who aren't really that into the music.

That's why we decided to go to El Ayoun for dinner in San Raphael, then stay there for the dancing. A much better, older, more sophisticated crowd. I can't deal with annoying west enders on 5 pills.
 
in my experience - Kandi nights have been great - we all know their music policy - it appeals to me - it doesn't to others.....

agree it can get REALLY full at times 2-4 ish - but the atmosphere is superb in there and it is wall 2 wall smiles
 
I have just come back from ibiza today and we did hed kandi the sat we got there. Would never go to El Divino or Hed kandi over there again (we go regularly to the hed kandi nites in the UK). It was full of chavvy drunks who couldnt handle there beer/ drugs, blokes thinkin they had the god given right to grope any woman that moved, too rammed to dance anywhere, dancers were rubbish, just girls posing with there asses out.....we got there at 2 an left at 5....normally dont go home til the sun comes up so not a good nite!! I'd do def mix at pacha instead!!
 
Hed Kandi will be a big success @ Eden in my opinion. They'll fill the club every week and already have a couple of pre parties in San An.

Who will fill the vacant Saturday night at El Div now?

There could well be some 'Fierce' competition in handbag land this summer... ;):)

i thought el div was being converted into a health club?
 
it will but not this year! just next years or in 2 years! thats strange nobody protest against that like they do for DC10....thats weird....its a club too!!!

So I got the day wrong but it didn't take a rocket scientist to figure out Doyle and Co. would jump into the sinking ship that is El Div when Hed Kandi swam for shore :lol:

Personally speaking, I'm looking forward to playing back there again, it's been far to long for me and I've always missed being in that booth. Know that Mr D feels the same, 'sinking ship' or not I've got to many good memories of that place for it to be a bad thing and am looking forward to making a few more before the place gets reduced to dust. 8)8)8)

May even try to fit in a few more lightsaber duels on the terrace at some point this season:lol::lol::lol:

It's a cracking club for any house promoter, i've said it before on here that there isn't anywhere else in Ibiza with a terrace like that and the view of the D'alt Vila is awesome!

It'll be a shame when it does go.
