- Dettol antibacterial wipes / pocket wetwipes (for your bum, when you get caught short in the middle of nowhere and wind up hiding behind some bush ... beats trying to find anything resembling a broad leaf in midsummer - it's bad enough when it happens as it is ! :rolleyes:)

Only situation I can imagine this happening is doing the DC-10 to PdB walk back through the fields. Unless of course youre treking round the island, but I'm not sure Silo will be doing this :lol:
 
Essential stuff. I always mix one up before and after clubbing - and also pour some into a small bottle of water during the day if I'm out in the heat for hours. It really makes a difference. Also helps rehydrate if you have too much red bull/fags - high caffeine/nicotine combo = dehydration fast. Staying hydrated means staying on top.... or at least sufficiently vertical anyway !

8 other useful extras if you're really intending on "doing Ibiza properly" :

- Alkaseltzer XS - still does it like no other

- Zantac (no-one wants to faff around with antacids - these stop it before it even happens)

- Dettol antibacterial wipes / pocket wetwipes (for your bum, when you get caught short in the middle of nowhere and wind up hiding behind some bush ... beats trying to find anything resembling a broad leaf in midsummer - it's bad enough when it happens as it is ! :rolleyes:)

- Daktarin spray (or cream) - athlete's foot can set in quick with a roasting club, closed shoes and hours on the dancefloor, especially if you don't wear liner socks (I never do) ... this knocks it back fast. If it festers whilst you're out there can take weeks to shift when you get home plus very unpleasant.

- Zovirax - if you're prone to cold sores when run down, don't get caught without ... days of imbibing = major trigger

- Nivea Lip Repair (not sun block stuff) - a proper 'large one' can easily show through in lips like limestone cliffs after 2 days on the razzle in the heat. Get them kissable again in a couple of hours

- Bananas (meaningful solid energy food when the thought of anything is hard to come to terms with)

.... I could go on ... but above all else if you're really going to 'go for it' take comfortable well-fitting shoes. Your feet take an absolute hammering when you're partying for days at a time.There are quite a few on here will testify you can literally dance the soles of your feet off, and when you're sh!t faced may not even notice until the damage is done :twisted:

PS - I usually take Imodium plus rather than the regular stuff... tends to work fast and act long so you can get on with enjoying your trip ;)

We use a very different approach don't we Kimajy?
 
Tinned potatoes, don't forget the tinned potatoes. Wear cargo trousers with big pockets to accomodate a couple of tins.

Perfect after a long night on the dancefloor, simple carbs in the potatoes to refuel and salty water to re-hydrate and replace your sodium (and delicious of course)
 
I know it sounds a bit odd but take a nail file. In the sun my nails grow so bloody quickly it can make things painful when your not completely with it and have to wipe your arse, shower etc

Must confess to packing a pair of nail scissors in the case (along with the kitchen sink :rolleyes: :)) .. they come in handy for all sorts of things.

Thanks everyone for all the advice given above. Looks like I've got a shopping list to tick off over the next couple of weeks before heading out there. To be honest, looking at my schedule of parties it is less worse than being at a festival. With Space on the Sunday, i've got quite a few hours to get my **** together before DC10 at 16:00 the next day (metaphorically speaking of course, there need not be any fields involved here unless I get truly lost!:!::oops:). Then onwards to Cocoon and Teknologic at Sankeys on Weds (Anyone been to Teknologic btw? Any good?)
 
Nah you don't need any of that stuff. Just wads of cash.

Just go mental. Think of it as a workout. You damage muscles and they grow back stronger. Liver, brain and lungs are all the same.

Smash them to bits and you will be back in the UK like superman. I won the Krypton factor 3 years in a row by bending it for 2 weeks beforehand.
 
Ready salted crisps for salts and flat coca cola for sugar. bottles of gatorade.... 5htp, milk thistle, Vitamin b complex and a high fish oil...............plenty of cash and don't plan anything for 2 weeks after you get home cos your gonna be seriously fed up... ' go big or go home ' 8)

Booked 5 days off work when I get back, there is no way I am planning to do anything or use my brain in any significant way when I get back.

So a brief summary (picked up from here and rest of the forum) of the ultimate Ibiza survivors kit:

1. Half, if not all of the Boot's vitamin/pain relief section (incl berocca, dioralyte etc) (baggage allowance considered)
2. 5 htp
3. Acquapac for phone and money (most important for those going solo)
4. **** loads of cash
5. A rubber band (checking for stretch and comfort factor)
6. A solid set of shoes
7. Tickets from Spotlight
8. A decent Ibiza motto "go big or go home" "if you're flagging, man up, you're in Ibiza"

....and a tin of potatoes*

*apologies, not sure if I am yet established enough to crack out the potatoes

Can't believe I let myself get talked into it, I was in bed for 48 hours with all sorts of weird **** going on with my head after September's trip.
 
Nice one Silo! That list should be permanently at the top of the forum! Only thing I'm missing is the aqua pack, I don't really know much about them but should probably look into it.
