matutes keeps getting rid of his oldest hotels in ibiza, funnily enough most of them bought by ferré, and constructing new ones in the caribbean/sicily/etc.
apparently matutes (fiesta hotels group) has all his remaining hotels for sale..... even the
palladium palace, the nicest one, next to the aborted-for-now golf course project in playa den bossa
no need to be very clever to think that the oldest/cheapest ones will be bought by the polemic ferré (grupo playa sol) who will give them a facelift, with the help of the illegal immigrants he employs to work for almost nothing, and turn them into very basic/cheap 2 star hotels..... no wonder the rest of hoteliers hate ferré so much. and no need to be very clever to think that matutes will bugger off to the caribbean islands with all the money and continue investing there..... it will be interesting to see if he gets rid of
space too. the fact that abel's health is not very good, that he doesnt get along with some of his family (including, apparently, his brother antonio with who he has done one of the biggest fortunes in spain) and that ibicencos, including those who voted PP all their lives, cant stand him anymore might have something to do with this decission.....
