:arrow: the restaurant can boludo in cas mut closed for good at the end of the summer :!:

the infamous ex-manager left the island without paying the last 6 months rent and returned to argentina where he was planning to open an afterhours. no news yet about what the owners (same people behind cap des falco, plaza del sol and a long etc) want to do with the old villa/restaurant.....

okay, enough of bars and restaurants. even if its only beginning of january its time to start talking about clubs..... but remember where you read it first before certain people in certain forum, who are doing a similar thread based on what i posted here in the past, come out with one of "their" exclusives. with their wrong interpretations they are actually posting more lies than truths: "The government here is trying to introduce laws which will apply to the entire island which will mean that clubs will not be allowed to open until 4pm at the earliest" (hello? they could open at midday.....), "El Divino is to be sold to the port authorities" (hellooooo!! how can el divino be sold to the autoridad portuaria if they own it already? they always owned it, the same with the disappeared blues.....), etc etc etc. anyway, if you are going to copy what i post here thats fine but for gods sake, make sure you dont make up silly nonsense to confuse people :!: :!:

apparently alvaro carvajal, ex-owner of ku san sebastian (from 1995 till its closing in 2004), wants to reopen penelope :!:


for those that dont know the story, ku san sebastian opened back in 1970 and after its success the two owners (josé luis gorri and javier iturrioz) opened ku ibiza in 1978 with a third partner (the ex-real sociedad football player josean santamaría).....

:arrow: apparently matinee is in talks with amnesia to do wednesday nights. amnesia has wednesday nights free..... :idea: ..... last summer space "stole" one of their most famous parties..... :idea: :idea: ..... and, apparently again, matinee and brasilio de oliveira (home of la troya) dont get along very well..... :idea: :idea: :idea: ..... perfect choice for amnesia :!:

From a business point of view it would be very curious if Matinee decided to compete with another gay party, even if there's been a bit of hair-pulling and face-scratching in the past.

Surely they'd at least halve their potential audience if they went head to head.

This isn't one of your 'La Troya's moving to Penelope!' type rumours is it McWind-'em-up?

Matinee attracts up to five thousand gays and their friends a week. For them to leave their comfy Saturday spot at Space go to Wednesday nights at Amnesia, in direct opposition to the other biggest gay party in Ibiza, La Troya at the club they just left, would be a declaration of fag war.

And you don't want fag war.

SORRY, but matinée must stay @ space on saturday morning...

it's one of the best day time clubbing parties...and therefore they shouldn't change to amnesia on wednesday...

I'm lost here. Does Amnesia has morning licensce, I mean can Amnesia open during the day? or does it mean that Matinée it's not matinée anymore and it's a night party? 8O 8O 8O 8O

It's weird, very weird. THey are famous for their after and re-afters, they have just one night club (it's only gay and girls are not allowed) 8O 8O
 
:arrow: plastik will move to mango, underneath the apartments solymar by the egg roundabout, while the bar is knocked down for redevelopment (underground car park, commercial on the ground floor and apartments). it should have been ready for this summer but it has not even been demolished yet so this is the plan to back up..... if the provisional location works well they plan to have both running next year when the building is finished :!:

last summer someone told me they showed interest in renting the local in the corner opposite hush/hogans/temptation (the one that has been for rent for ages) so probably back then they were already looking for a temporary location.....

el faraon had the music sealed two weeks ago and it reopens this sunday morning with bruno monteverde (monza) and sosa :!:

on a curious note, this winter its managed by the same people behind the disappeared wine bar (everybody's favourite afterhours last winter).....
