Gordon Ramsay last night - poor little pig!

I wonder, how many people would still eat pig meat (bacon / chops etc) if like some fish restaraunts you have to point to the one you want (alive) and the Chef chops it up and prepares it for you there and then.....
Like the cow in Restaurant at the End of the Universe

Oh, and for the record:

MEAT = MMM MMM GOOD

the bit that pi$$es me off is when people switch the telly off and don't play a role in any part of it, least of all even knowing about it.
There was no way I could have watched it.... I like animals too much to watch them suffer, I just don't have a problem with eating them after they've suffered..... As long as they're not still "tense" and they're proper dead... not twitching....

swinging?
PMSL

back to "the f word" for a minute....the slaughterman wasnt the kind of bloke you would offer a lift to/accept a lift from on a dark night did he?? :?

Don't go on to the moors.....

I think so.

I quite like quorn - let's face it, it's absolutely nothing like meat though is it?

Ben's nan makes chilli with it and it's lovely. His auntie makes a wicked shepherds looking pie with aduki beans - I think it's called dragon pie ;) 'ark at me going all veggie on you

Actually, I never cook red meat at home because I have no idea how to

I thought he was going to slap Gordon round the shoulders and have a laugh with him about nearly crying and stuff but he didn't at all - a very strange looking bloke.

I know he reminded me of the guy from the remake of "house of wax" 8O

There are a few veggiw chinese places in London, mock duck and pancake and Mock ribs yum.

Also the Blue Elephant Thai in Fulham makes a lovely fake meat, I love that restaurant it's camp as.

I had some of the mock duck a while ago and was surprised at how nice it was. I'm not sure it would fool me for being duck though

I'd just like to put this on the record:

FAKE MEAT IS NOT AS GOOD AS REAL MEAT

You can make all the bean curd, tofu, mushroom derivative, whole grain, lima bean crap you want but it just doesn't taste as good.

FACT!

but another fact:

Meat eaters know fook all about vegetarian food.

...and you learn so much more about loads of different types of ingredients when you do!
So you're missing out too.

AND - this thread has nothing to do with meat tasting nice (you've said that about three times now ;))...we're agreed on that point. I love meat!

I've had plenty of veggie food over the years.... and you can use loads of ingredients with meat too!

Plus I only said it twice :D

Didn't see the Ramsay "shock the pigs to death" show but there has been a lot of talk here about veggie alternatives and I'm just saying there is no alternative.
