Are you sure you dont mean Wella?
No, I am sure. My mom used to use Wella in the late 70s and early 80s. I am quite familiar with Wella.

I've said it in fake tan threads before, but reading how you palefaces deal with your pastiness is pure comedy![]()

It's awful though being white in winter, everyone looks ill.
It's all a bit psychological, though, isn't it. Mental conditioning.![]()

We're all taught (in subtle fashion, through the media mainly) that white is better, but not too white or else you look 'pasty' or 'unhealthy'. So you try to get tan to look more like us darker folk... the same people who face discrimination for being darker! There's just no logic to it, really...

Sil - Which part? The lack of logic or the fact that naturally darker-skinned people are discriminated against?![]()
Yes, Sil, I know... I watch every day as people of Caucasian and Asian heritage are discriminated against. They're not black... in fact, many Caucasians have the same skin tone that many Northern Europeans aspire to!Yes, I think you forget that between white pastry and a proper black (sorry if I sound incorrect here, but I don't know which would be the polite word for that, if black is not polite) there's a lot of shades.![]()

I'm not sure if you are trying to be sarcastic, if you are just ignoring my point which doesn't involve anything about discrimination (I'm just talking about wanting to look tanner) or if is it me that didn't manage to express myself or didn't understand you. But whatever morbyd, whoever who spends an hour in a beach doesn't try to look a bit more healthier or nicer, it's just cos want to be black![]()
Que?! Chill, dear!I'm not being sarcastic, nor ignoring your point! I was just talking about the shades in between that you mentioned, and how it relates back to my initial point! And then I was trying to drop the subject!
But since you've moved on here, can you explain to me why you believe that being darker makes you look "healthier" or "nicer"? Do you think people who are inherently darker look healthier? Or are very light-skinned people less nice-looking?
Ok, sorry, for a second I had a panic attack and I thought I had to agree with Dan X![]()

Easy to answer: if you look tanned it means you've been sunbathing and sun is always a big source of energy and vitamines.![]()
But as I said before, I agree with you, it's all pshicological
Dan - What I wrote above is very simplified, but generally true. And if you don't believe it then you must live a very sheltered life!
I post like a condescending ars3hole? pot, meet kettle! Not to mention the fact you post like such a condescending ars3hole, I'm fearing a slide back into the frustrating obstinance of past Morbyd years. I thought we had moved on from there? Has all the work I did last year to teach you a bit of humility been lost?
Sheltered life? What a pr1ck.
