Getting to/from Ibiza latest info

The top-up/booster vaccine is only in clinical trial now, I don't think it will be a consideration for a while yet, but the certs will be here to stay for travelling for some while yet, as they should be IMO. We're not completely out of the woods yet with regards to covid.
Logging into the app to take a screenshot of the pass isn't much of task IMO

No, it's being rolled out now. Had my booster last Thursday. Actually got back from Ibiza last Monday and received a text about the booster next day. I thought it was for the flu jab initially. Also took and posted my Day 2 PCR test (Negative) on my way to the vaccination site.

Have to say though my arm was incredibly sore for a couple of days after this last jab and I've had some headaches too which is something I never usually get.

Yeah, the headaches and nausea is common after the first two jabs; I was a bit under the wather for a day, so not surprising after the third. kinda shows it's working if it triggers your internal army into action?!

Looking at today's figures, the rise in cases, deaths/hospitalisations here is worrying - although the latter nothing like the first two waves. Beginning to wonder - just like as umpires start to look at their light meter - whether there are restrictions ahead over winter and if/how that will affect travel.

Just got late Nov booked (Costas) and fairly confident of being able to travel. I want to book Formentera flight and room right now for June, deffo in two minds though. Need the government to think out loud, although I'm not sure they know what "think" means!!!

Yep, just hoping the headaches ARE due to the booster! No side effects after the first jab, just a sore arm after the second. I had the Pfizer jab. I must be overdosed on antibodies now as I'm 100% sure I had Covid before the start of the original Vaccination rollout.

...and not what you were drinking the night before?!!!

Fair enough, I was incorrect. There hasn't been much talk about it though and tbh I'm not arsed. I'm sure it will be a requirement somewhere down the line, say as having the second jab was

I do have the worry in the back of my mind that as case rates are now so high in the UK, Spain might well reverse it's access-free with vax protocol and insist on testing again inbound (OK, I can go with that) or even ban travel form the UK unless essential, back to last winter in effect.

Hoping someone can put my mind at ease by confirming there are no such thoughts amongst the Spanish government?

I agree that the UK's high Covid rate and 'keep the rules off' strategy is now a risk to us travelling over Winter. Morocco has now banned British visitors.

I don't have a clue how the Spanish government will react but they may apply different rules for the Canaries to the Mainland and Balearic's as that's where almost all the bookings will be for after end October.

Can only advise keep checking the Foreign Office website.

Do worry about the Canaries - was out there recently and they are getting back up and running, a lot of hotels full etc - but many shut for the whole pandemic and only started to open middle of this summer. A winter with reduced visitors would not be good for many of them

I am not hopeful that our December trip to Malaga will happen. I can see a likelihood of Spain not allowing us in and/or some state of lockdown happening in England.

when are you looking to travel?

 we got a PCR for 20quid a test in August. The mark up on these Lat flows is probably a bigger money spinner than the PCRs! What a con.
Same, our PCR tests cost £29 for last weekend. Not had the results yet, but I guess it doesnt really matter now!

Especially since you can get as many lateral flow tests as you like from the NHS for free. Making you buy a test from the private sector that's completely unnecessary whilst at the same time denying citizens the right to pay for a private Covid jab after they've basically vaccinated everyone their stocks are necessary for who'll have one bar a few kids ! Quasi-socialist nonsense on the one hand and rampant croney-Capitalism on the other !
