Getcho Gorgeous On

I'm feeling a bit girly today, like I'm overdue for one of those sleep-overs girls have when we were (errr...) young (and a little too eager with the nail varnish).

Anyway, I was thinking that it might be neat to hear tips from other people on how they stay gorgeous in the heat (without packing the entire bathroom)...

Like I don't bother packing a hair dryer -- if you've got natural waves or curls, don't even try fighting it. Let the heat & humidity work it's magic and go -- don't waste valuable party time doing hair. I also pack funky little hair clips to keep it all up.

Anyone else? Or should I just read Cosmo on the commute home tonight...

well snap re hair, i don't bother straightneing or anyting like that, i shove it all up ontop of my head, need to be as cool as a cucumber

i never wear make up at home soo certainly don't wear it in ibiza! firstly you have a tan and secondly there's nothing worse then feeling mascara at 7am all bitty and stuff

i like to take this spray gun that squirts water at me during my sweatness whilst clubbing

hmm what else.............

no matter what you can't avoid lookin a bit rough at the end of a big night! but you still no matter what look great with a big fat GRIN on ya face :D

Oooh can I join you Mrs D I love girlie talk :D ;)

Yeah sometimes I wear my hair curly on holiday cos it's not worth straightening it, but I had my hair all cut off on Sat into bob  so I'm hoping it's just going to fall into place this year   :p

I also like 2 little plaits/pig-tail things on holiday, but my hair will be too short for that this year  they're always good tho if you can't be bothered to do hair.

I try to keep make up to a minimum when I’m away. I try not to wear any foundation on my face as I find it ends up looking shiny. When my face is tanned all I need is a bit of concealer to cover up the dark circles (YSL touché elclat is my absolute favourite), some nice eye make up (but nothing too heavy) and some lip gloss. :D

Mac Lip Glass is the best lip gloss in the entire world. Or Juicy Tubes by Lancome.

Mmmm Juicy Tubes, I also like Stila. I've never tried Mac, must add that to shopping list next time.

No I never wear foundation even in this country, just wear tinted moisturiser.

I tell you what I have bought, don't know if anyone has seen them, the new Lancombe coloured mascaras - how cool :D I couldn't choose between the blue one or the pink one so I bought both :p

Actually, another thing you can do with vaseline... We're talking beauty tips here...
I occasionally use it as a glossy highlighter for eyelids and cheekbones when you've got a glowy tan. The trick is to apply SPARINGLY -- otherwise you look more slimy than sexy
So glossy stuff is another thing for sure!

Also, I don't know if you have this brand in the UK -- Sugar??? Anyway, they do little glosses and stuff that taste like sugar! Like sugar cookies -- not too much, but YUM! (I like it, even though I think Mr D is way creeped out by it)

I’ve never tried Stila, but I keep reading in magazines how good it is. As soon as my Mac is finished I’m going to buy that.

Juicy Tubes are the best. I love the Cerise one with sparkly bits.

All I tend to wear makeup-wise on holiday is black waterproof mascara (Lancome are excellent) and bronzing powder to show-off my tan. I like the Body Shop's one which also contains stuff for keeping mosquitos at bay, which can be helpful. That and maybe some whitey-silvery eye shadow to bring out my eyes against the tan.

Remember, perfume is affected by the heat to wear a lighter fragrance.

Also, take a really good intensive conditioner (such as Kerastase) for use every night between beach and clubbing.

thats is great tip, only thing i would be worried about is the vasaline melting off my face! then i realy would look like a slimy sweaty scarry thing! ;)
