General international clubs discussion

Yes mate he was absolutely incredible...had the whole place in the palm of his hands.

Enjoyed Quarters...not changed loads from when it was The Arch - dj booth is now at the front and they have upgraded the sound. Quality evening all round.

I know RÜFÜS DU SOL are getting big, but they just announced an o2 Arena gig in London in May 2026 - that is like 17,000 people! Maybe I never quite appreciated them getting as big has they have.

Talla , Schiller , Westbam in Wiesbaden at 28Dec. If someone is in this area. The venue is painful ( Europalace ). But the last ones wer ok.
Nice trance night.

Very sad news in Switzerland with around 40 dead and over a hundred seriously injured in a bar fire.

I think this will (or at least should) kick off a review of fire safety in some venues. Its looking like it was Sparklers on Champagne bottles that sparked the fire. These are used in many places in Ibiza too and mixing fire with alcohol in tight places comes with risks

The emergency exit was locked. The only exit, is through the stairs, that were narrowed by the owners.

Lots of venues need scrutiny on their fire evacuation plans, I see from posts on here DC10 was again ram packed on NYD, are they confident theyd get everyone out safely if something bad happened?

And there's no reason to have sparklers indoors at all, it's not worth the 30seconds of photo opportunity.

It’s crazy that people were stood around filming the fire and not heading for the exit.

Noticed im getting a lot of social media ads for a Black Coffee (with Orchestra) at the O2 and clicked out of curiosity. Seems loads of sears left and Ticketmaster resorting to the trick of putting alternate rows of seats on sale to give an illusion its busier.

Seats from £94-224! Insane prices. Looks like they have got this one wrong so far.

I mean they went for the full arena, including Level 4 so that’s 20,000 tickets they need to shift. The cheap seats are £93! lol.

Appreciate its the country's biggest arena (or 2nd biggest cant remember) but ive sat on the top tier of the O2 and 93quid to sit/dance in seat doesn't appeal. Still a few weeks til May to shift some though.

I might be way off here, but some of this is promoters and artists going for bigger and bigger arenas to fill demand (and egos I suppose). But if the demand is there - the demand is there. And to be fair it’s probably also matching the changing tastes of people.

We joke about people standing in clubs, but for the likes of Black Coffee and Keinemusik and probably some of the other EDM guys an arena is perfect. People have their own seat / space to film, not get pushed about and can have a seat when they need a quick nap / rest. And people will pay £250+ for a seat in the lower tiers - it’s a fact.

I think I said it’s before, someone in Ibiza is missing a trick with this one!

I still feel Rock and Pop acts would be interested in playing a small Ibiza arena just for the kudos of having 'Ibiza' on the tour poster, and some nice promo shots. An indoor arena also surely of use to some Sports too.
