Smug vinyl purists
I started off playing vinyl and still use my 14yr old technics. I have a massive stack of the stuff. Thats does not inherently make me a better person!
I keep getting these things on fb " joe bloggs is listening to xxxx (On Vinyl)"
as if the On Vinyl bit gives him extra cool points and anyone listening to it on any other medium is simply below him. Douche

its just this one guy on fb that feels the need to add (On Vinyl) after saying what he's listening to like it makes him a better person for doing so. Ive got nothing against people who like to buy their music on that medium at all ,its just this holyer than thou attitude
I love vinyl, but I don't knock people who listen or play other things. I love the crack and pop of the vinyl.

i got fined on my way to work monday morning.
obviously i know that getting a train into the city at 7am on a monday morning dressed in a suit i run the risk of being confused with a fare dodging thug, but i still felt a fine was a little over the top. particularly because they fined me whilst i queued up...to BUY MY SEASON TICKET RENEWAL.
ended up having my photo card confiscated for a while, the police called and being late for work.
employing 7 ex-bouncers and a token black man might scare some people but i was in no mood to be f*cked about at that time on a monday morning.

The 'Botes' jar on the back of any of the bars at Pacha (and other establishments whether in Ibiza or anywhere else in the world) and the look you sometimes get having paid £15 for a drink and then removing all of your change from the poncy little plate you're given it back on having recieved no discernable 'good service' whatsoever', (or indeed) even a smile.

Summer in Devon :
- More rainfall and high winds than Spring or Autumn by some distance (why does everyone choose to come here in Summer ?!)
- 'Sunday driving' generally every day of the week :x
- Drivers who come down here in 4x4s, don't know their widths, and wave frantically at you on the lanes as they approach because they're driving too fast - realizing they can't stop in time unless you oblige, brake hard and swing your car 2mm from the verge to let them by.
- Closely followed by a certain category of drivers who can't reverse their cars (you know who you are ...) back to the nearest passing place, which is all of about 10 yards behind them ...
- Add the return of parking attendants meaning I have to shell out £4 or more to have a proper swim or pump the kite up at the beach round the corner
Another wonderful school holiday full of this to look forward to - they'd better spend enough to boost the local economy sufficiently to justify all the aggro....
