I know i know they are sooooo commercial etc etc. I LOVE them shame they are so popular. Because as much as I love them trying to see them now is hard work with over filled venues etc. That being said I bought tickets for mates who are also not going and managed to sell them all for a tidy profit all adds to the ibiza fund!!:)
 
sadly i think i am gonna be a general annoyance to my whole office I have just had a lebanese banquet complete with houmous and garlic mayo, needless to stay I stick.

We also have the toilets dirters VILE the toilet brush is there for a reason........USE IT

I tip based on service, I tip my barber, wait staff, bartender. When service is above the norm. If the service is sh1t I will leave 5 cents. My way of saying yes I know about tips and this is what you earned. While living in Europe the amount or if you tip is different, sometimes the service is sh1t because people are not depending on tips for a living. On the other hand I have had great service and great help from wait staff. It comes down to the person and if they care about the customers enjoyment.

In the UK, it's in the 10-12.5% range. Not like the 15-20% in the US (and Canada?)

Many parts of Europe you just leave a couple of Euros as service is already included in the prices. This is the best option.

On my general annoyances list, I'd put the tipping culture in the US!

Alongside that is the addition of sales tax separately in shops.

When I go to a store or restaurant, I want to look at the price tag or menu and know the grand total of what I'm going to pay. No surprises, no add-ons... just give me a straightforward honest price!

I know in other places people don't tip as much, which is why I said it is more of a Canadian/ American thing. I will always tip 20% plus when eating out if the service is good.

But I worked in many restaurants so now I'm always aware that when someone is serving me a percentage of their sales is going to the kitchen, bar, bussers etc.

I always tip on takeout as well, so if I pick something up, I'll do it, maybe 15 - 20%

it is my general annoyance, because recently when I have gone out with big groups for dinner, someone always cheaps out and I have to pay the rest!

Like I said if you can afford to eat out, you can afford to tip. I don't know why people have an aversion to it....it's for good service. Doesn't matter if you don't like it or not...

another general annoyance is going out with friends who forget it's a server not serfdom and make the server fetch " 2 extra ice cubes please" or " a differently cut lemon" and then don't tip well on it.

I guess my general annoyance is my high maintenance cheap friends!
 
People that message k rather than OK! Lazy lazy but then I am a bit old for text speak in general when some of my mates text/email/msg me I have to reread about 4 times before I work out what they are saying

I agree OK is short enough. In an email I will just reply what are you trying to say?

Yeah me too!! My other halfs mum talks abbreviated in text, I actually have to concentrate on what Im reading for it to make sense :lol:

This mildly annoys. It suggests that you are returning before you went. I use "To and From" which I believe to be more appropriate.

However, I would have tipped you.
