Formentera advice

Are ferries to Formentera running in a regular fashion? With a second ferry wrecked within a year, do operators have enough boats left to run normal schedule?

there are more ferries than ever this year with the new companies coming into the market.

departures every 30mins
 
But you're not sure to come back and you could finish your night on the rocks of the port of ibiza...
 
Are you permitted to ride a mountain bike along the beach on Illetes/Levant beaches, or do you have to park bicycles and go on foot?

you can't really ride the bike on the beach, but up to es ministre you can ride on the dirt road and from there continue on foot

A song called "Formentera", yay... shame it's sooo bad!

Not to mention that the phrase direct flight to Formentera doesn't make any sense for obvious reasons...

Well, technically, scraping the barrel for an excuse....you could use a helicopter and land at the hospital...!

Are they not still deciding who gets the licenses? Sounds like what happened in parts of Ibiza number of years ago, long time operators being squeezed out for €€€€€.
 
Can you drive to the Cap de Barbaria lighthouse? Some websites say you have to walk the last 2 km, some websites day the road is closed "during summer months". Can you drive directly to the lighthouse e. g. in September?

yeah I just read yesterday or the day before that they cut the access off again before you get there, meaning 20mins on foot for the last bit (and 20 back). I think this will remain in place until the very end of the season again, way past september.
