Never seen The Grudge but the name strikes me as being not distinctly frightening. I'm waiting for a sequel called 'A Slight Disagreement' or a prequel called 'The Tiff'.

Sixth sense completely freaked me out for weeks (I'd just moved into a new house!)
The idea of Nightmare on elm street also scared me, but only before I'd actually seen it. I used to have really bad nightmares as a kid so it struck a chord.
I will never see hostel or Saw or anything like that, it will traumatise me for life!
Is Hostel better or worse than Saw? I watched Hostel and even though it was REALLY gorey and I had to cover my eyes at aomw of the more extreme stuff, it was a good film and I made it to the end!
I watched the crappest film last night Alone in the Dark
Starring (and I use that term loosely)
Christian Slater (hang your head in shame!!!)
Tara "Party girl" Reid (as a Archeologist - complete with hair in a bun and specs)
Stephen Dorff (Angry Special Ops Agent)
