Favourite Ibiza Track of Alltime Only 1 allowed

I would probably say Kings of tomorrow - Finally, mainly because 2001 was my first clubbing trip to Ibiza, I had never been to Space etc, and I literally heard this everywhere, including the Space terrace.

If I had to pick a second, would be for the exact same reasons above but Deep Dish - Flashdance

Cafe del mar - energy 52

Soon as you listen instead memory rush of the White Isle
(As an aside the Nalin and Kane remix of this is cracking).

My pick is Ayla by Ayla, distinctly remember this in Privilege, we were up on the roof bit and this came on. Was Manumission on a Monday. Think Seb Fontaine was playing.

Never genuinely heard this song in a club. But it's often hammered on the old Ipod speakers.

I can only imagine the buzz you must of got hearing this get dropped on the old Space Terrace.

EBTG vs Soul Vision - Tracey in my Room

I have many tracks that remind me of Ibiza but basing my opinion on what i've heard live on the island I would go for this. . .

For me, there's two kinds of music uniquely synonymous with ibiza - the really old balearic stuff - your sueno latinos, jibaros and chris reas - and the more modern sounds associated with the DC10 generation over the last 10 years - michel cleiss, villalobos, mathias aguayo

whereas all the those dave pearce anthems, faithless cheese, hed kandi and all the rest is just as associated with service stations on the M6 or shopping malls in Penge or bloody match of the day ie nothing uniquely ibiza about it - I know it's subjective but had so much over-exposure to all that shit

if I had to pick one track that gets me every time - fond memories driving around the island with this on

I witnessed the great man play this live the the forum in Waterford not long before he died.. best cover ever :)

Will we ever see another wave of classics? Say 20 years down the line when we are hearing the same conversation from our kids. . .

maybe - I wouldn't get your hopes up though

clubbing has changed a lot and fragmented into what we have today. there are still great tracks being made in niche scenes but the old Universal Big Tunes along the lines of gat decor or needin' u are simply not produced now
