Fabric

Well well well the annual outing for Fabrics birthday did not disappoint! Done the Sunday evening shift with Del Garda, Richards and Riccardo and just simply superb. When fabric is on it’s A game there really is nowhere quite like it. Villalobos and fabric room 1 with that sound system is just a match made in heaven.

26 years strong and hopefully many more to come.

Glad it didn't disappoint. Was looking at the line up and thinking it was probably one of the strongest birthday lineups they've had when you throw Theo Parrish in as well.

I went at around 1:30pm til 6pm on Sunday. Had a wedding on the Saturday and drinks with some of the wedding party on Sunday evening but I am so glad I went, even for such a short amount of time - the atmosphere on their birthdays is just so special! Next year, I hope to be there for a proper stint!

Oh man was hoping for an earlier slot from Dixon on the sunday!

Hmm decisions decisions.

I'm tempted to pop in early on sunday to see Ame finish his set and then go for some brunch and then head back in for Jimi jules and Dixon!

That's why you're still at it ol' mucker! No brunch breaks for the retirees

Fabric getting a bit of heat re the amount of creeps. Been a problem as long as I’ve been and usually a certain demographic unfortunately but plenty of women (and some DJs) calling it out that their guests have had issues on the dance floor. Sounds like some issues during Ron Trent last weekend with people coming in the DJ box etc

Since their problems it’s still a brilliant club but don’t find it particularly welcoming anymore from door entry to being in there

Agreed on all points. I'm a fabric first member and last few times i've been i've felt like my mere presence has been a burden. The entry/cloakroon situation was dire.

Still an amazing club, but they need to better. Let the basics slip and your number one reputation is in jeopardy

which demographic? DM if you feel more appropriate, i’m genuinely interested

Had a great time last night.

Only went in afternoon to catch the end of Jimi Jules and Dixon.

Particularly enjoyed Jimi Jules as most of the crowds were watching Tri/xon in Room2 so there was plenty of room in Room1. Very melodic and uplifting set.

Unfortunately as expected everyone then piled to main room for Dixon so got quite busy. Enjoyed it too, loved he played Trentemollers remix of royksopp, not heard that in ages. I think he was saving some of his big tunes for the final b2b2bs set but had to leave before that.

In terms of the club vibes people are talking about I did read that too. So I was actually looking out for that but i honestly didn't notice anything bad. I do think the Sunday crowd is probably better than you'd get on a Saturday night anyway.

Absolutely. Worst time to be in there is Saturday night before 4am, when the creeps and the tourists are most prevalent

We were at Fabric Saturday for IV party from midnight until six and then five until midnight … heard it finished at 4am so 6 hours of b2b2b … getting in was easy and pretty decent crowd both Saturday and Sunday … spent most time on the mezz of room one and was a great vibe … sounds better than Berghain on Friday which was a nightmare of queues and dodgy crowd by all accounts

Edit: finished at 0240 according to IV Facebook fans page

So we went to the innversions party - first at midnight on sat to 8am a and then again at 630PM to 10pm on sunday. This time imo the sat was much better . Slightly older and far more space, AME live stole the show. Really good set.

Sunday was a bit of a mess tbf. Felt like the average age was 21 and people were kinda rude imo. Dixons set was OKAY. He played Lets go and that rang off - really cool moment.

Something just feels off about partying in london and has done for ages. I barely party in the UK anymore as result.
