exercise, harmful?!

sorry not as excitin as it sounds! but i did a workout on tues (jus at home but v tough!) but my muscles are still hurtin. now im used to this as did kickboxin for a while and was normal that u felt it the day after. however am still achin now and in a different way. :? backs of my calfs hurt wen i walk. is this normal as in the way i just was usin muscles i wouldn't normally use? or mite i hav pulled somat by over doin it abit? what i want to know is mainly, should i leave the exercise today or go for the burn in hope my body will get used to the pain?!!!! concerned an unfit! :? :lol:
 
just getting over the pain barrier again.

the longer you've left it since exercise the longer it'll take.

sure you'll be fine ;)
 
that hurting feeling is soooooo nice the next day, I love it. I think the second day after training is when you feel it most, then it eases after that. :P
 
I feel left out ... wanted to join a gym this year but as I've got a slipped disk .. not a good idea !
 
Mia you'll be fine thats good if it hurts!

Give you body about 72 hours to rest and then start again, you should always give your body time to recover if you have pains so that you can reach your optimum performance.
 
Mia, I was back to the gym after two months and today I'm in terribly need of a wheelchair, so I totally understand how you feel. I'm planning on going back to the gym on the weekend ;) :lol: :lol:

i shouldn't exercise yet then? i last exercised late tues afternoon. wat do i do to burn fat in the meantime? :? ;) :lol:

Id leave it and see how you feel tomorrow, if you exercise today while your still in pain your body wont recover properly and you wont get the best out of your workout either. You'll prob be fine tomorrow ;)
 
I aint trained for 3 weeks so i'm gonna ache like a good 'un for about a fortnight as from Sunday

Maybe i should do Ang's 'Jane Fonda Workout' tonight as a warm up 8O

ok i jus did a mini workout includin stretches, sit ups an all that (even did a few press ups. (well attempted them!) goin out tonight so will be dancin so should burn more fat then! although i ended up dancin for most of my 'workout' anyway! will see how i feel in the mornin! :? :)
 
I went to the gym today for the first time since Christmas, done a 25min run, and pulled the muscle in my bum!!! Now I'm hobbling all over the office :evil:

I shall have to get Jon to massage it later ;)
