Es Paradis

How has es paradis got on this year? It amazes me how they stay open, i never hear anyone say im off to Es Paradis tonight!

Last time i went in there must have been around about 6-7 years ago for the water party opening as we were over in early may the one year.

Wrong thread but how has Edens season been aswell?

It would likely have got on slightly better if Clockwork Orange hadn't moved their one-off party to Sankeys ! Only person I clocked going to Es Paradis this year was Ikoda ... might be able to input an idea of how it looked in 2016 !

Me and the Mrs went this year as I had never been before. That was the only reason for going. It was in June this year.

It was a buy one get one free ticket entry thing. Water party with resident DJ. Steeve Valverde

Club is extremely pretty. Music was really cool funky house style music. Not the he'd kandi sort but proper old funky stuff.

However the club was empty and it really was just about 80 kids in the whole venue. Although we didn't stay for the water as we had a big party the next day.

I can't truly see his they make any money.

If they got the right party then I would image this place would be rocking.

Personally they should just get together with Eden and make a superclub and sell it to another franchise like Space and live off the profits of renting the building.

Danny Whittle mentioned it in the past... There's a street in between though?!

Yea I know. Didn't know how much an issue it would be. Seems little used but I guess it still serves a purpose to the locals.

I mean there is so much land in front of Es paradise anyways to build something brilliant for the new era.

Exactly the same as me mate. I went few weeks back as me and the Mrs had never been. As you said beautiful inside, same dj and style of music. Just a shame a club like that is suffering with numbers.

I think steeve valverde is a great DJ, and the venue is unique to say the least, but it's just not happening there for one reason or another. If that strip of San Antonio gets a freshen up in the future, and if space does relocate to San Antonio, perhaps things could change for the better?

I hope so Es Paradis has so much potential with the beauty of it. It really needs to find a night/promoter who is up and coming and watch it grow there.

Must be hard for them competing against the rest of the clubs. Losing Hed Kandi must have been a real blow to them. Obviously clockwork orange aswell.

wonder how many people went ?
boring shit-flyer btw ...

Hmmm they really dont do themselves any favors with posters like that... it really baffles me how they make any money at all. But they must be making something for it to stay open year after year.

I wonder how es paradis, Eden, and privilege are surviving and why some promoters don't take advantage of their clubs. es paradis in particular seems so nice and much deserving of those Ibiza moments

There has to be some underground dealings going on to keep these clubs afloat. I'm thinking money laundering from shady dealings

Yeah its really weird!! A freind of a freind runs the our house night in support of judgement. Another lad i know plays sets there and they cancelled a night the last weekend of july and im sure there have been some since. So things cant be too good there if they cancelling nights left right and centre as seems.

Id love to see them get back up to better days. Would be a big boost to San An. Imo they need to get a good house night on, that club is made for house. Not to everyones taste but the urban music nights do well there with the UK crowd. They have had some big names in the urban world in there over past 4-5 years. Chris Brown, Snoop Dogg, even Rev run was there a few years ago. Maybe that is the route they need to go. I think get some one like an Annie Mac in there and that will start to pull a crowd in for them

Iv never been to Es paradise and would like to go as it's the only club I havnt been to, but the last few years iv been there hasn't been a single night of music that would of hot me there over the competition. People complain about San an, I stayed there this year for the first time since 2006 and loved it (every other time in bossa)

Eden and Es Paradis both need one decent night, for Es Paradis its got to be house, so maybe something like Defected/Glitterbox would work, for Eden its perfectly setup light wise and soundsystem for trance/hardhouse.. but the problem there is that this style isn't so popular anymore...

For Privilege, would a complete techno night work in the whole club, maybe Cocoon like they did a few years back, I never went when Cocoon went to Priv so not sure if it worked or not, the sound system in priv isn't that powerful
