No Dean Ashton.... or Marlon Harewood - in the top five scorers in the premiership? What is Sven on? He's taking a chance on too many youngsters in the hope they'll amaze everyone. it's the world cup ffs you can't afford to take the chance. What if Lennon and Walcott are totally overshadowed by their older rivals? Poor choice of strikers IMO :roll:
 
I was so optimistic about this world vup but now it looks hopeless, I really hope I'm proved wrong and Owen and Roonet get fit, cos with them 2 we will beat anyone

sorry jon, but SWP aint exactly played regular has he. when he has done, its mainly been in nothing games.

Seen lennon play quite a lot on (on tv) this season and he's awesome.
 
defoe must be absolutely raging...................why 2 crocks, 'give us a clue' crouch and the ultiamte rookie...........................why jenas instead of an extra forward.................why walcott................why hargreaves.........................WHY:?

I hate defoe with a passon and am glad he is not going, but I'd be very annoyed if I was him. I wonder what he has to do to prove himself... maybe just keep his mouth shut and let the football do the talking I'm not sure... he has the talent though that is for sure the little paul ince

It can go either way though can't it. Do you not think Harewood at least deserves a call up? Correct me if Im wrong but hasnt he scored more goals than Crouch, Owen and Walcott this season?

I think Lennon was a good choice.

I would have chosen SWP over a couple of the others though. He would have made a great sub for injecting a bit of pace.

owen's a waste of time when fit so half fit its pointless, crouch is just clueless...................jermain is the one.

(oh well, at least we'll get him for cheaper when we buy him)

I know it seems like he's taken his chances with a team of has-beens and under 20's!! What about the 20-25 age group?
