England flags - Chavvy or Patriotic?

i agree with you snardy, most of the americans that the rest of the world complain about never make the effort to leave the country... this is why i think the many Canadians who wear a flag because they don't want to be mistaken as an american are in a way insulting them...
I've met plenty of ignoramouses in every country.
Back to the topic, i think its great to support your country in sporting events and i see nothing wrong with flying a flag to support teams etc... i guess i just don't like the idea of wearing a flag to define mySELF

i think it's great people are displaying these flags on their cars and others that hang flags from their windows at home
it is an utter disgrace that some people cannot represent their country in the way that they want which is obviously not racist to anyone at all.
if people don;t like the fact we love our country and our nations sport then they shouldn;t be in the country complaining

IMO - given that the World Cup is approaching - its a bit of harmless supporting of your country. Seems like every other country and even nationals within the UK are permitted to display their heritage, why not English/Scots/Welsh/N Irish
I am glad to see that England seems to be reclaiming the Georges Cross as it provides more of a true identity than the Union Flag which often is mistaken as a English flag as opposed to the actual British flag

Whilst driving somewhere the other day, the misus decided to start a competion to start counting England flags on cars (parked cars not allowed!)
Yesterday I thought I would earn a few brownie points and nipped into Netto
to buy her two car flags. When I got in, if looks could kill I would be R.I.P today 
Fortunately the flags are now R.I.P and not me
