well, I can't comment on the England flags... but one of my BIGGEST pet peeves are all the retarded Canadians who march around the world with Canada flags slapped everywhere with canada maple leaves tattoo'd on their ass and ankle.

I know why they do it, but i think it just draws more attention to themselves anyway, and they just embarass the rest of us!!

i don't see many Canada flags flying in people's homes/ yards... but you can always spot the lame-o canuckle-head on the road..

if people want to be patriotic thats fine, see nothing wrong with it... but i don't think just being born somewhere give anyone a reason to be 'proud' of that , as if its an accomplishment or something.

I thought a lot of them do it now to not be mixed up with americans :lol: whom the world hate, but we all like the canadians
 
I am hanging a frenchman from my car window as my sign of patriotism during the worldcup.

My neighbours are yet to copy me, but the stink has attracted lots of cats.

yes this is why... but what a stupid reason.. the way i see it, they don't want to be mistaken as american because of this perceived notion of americans being loud, obnoxious, 'look at me' kind of attitude (which is a bad incorrect generalisation for many Americans anyway!)... but by putting a flag on their luggage, then your'e doing a smilar 'look at me!" kind of thing anyway and drawing more attention to yourself... which is exactly the kind of thing they're trying NOT to be..

I guess because the accents are similar, and some ppl can't tell them apart.... but i'd rather someone judge me on my character than my nationality

Gettin me even more excited about the World Cup drivin round seein loadsa flags flyin . . . love it

..... sounds like some people take it a bit seriously !! c'mon it's the World Cup, Lighten Up !
 
I was really shocked to see england flags in car's windows 8O 8O 8O
I thought the spanish flags were fine in Spain, but after seeing that I think we are very discret :lol: :lol:

I think that's the reason why Utaguara, whenever I meet Canadians the first thing they tell me is that they're Canadian and not American, altho maybe wrapping a flag around them is taking it a tad too far :lol:

All you have to do is include the word "about" in a sentence and everyone would know your Canadian... wearing the flag seems like overkill! :lol: ;)

Agree with you on the latter part of that sentence. Zarbboy is right about the general animosity to Americans. I think the best you can do is show people that there's alright folks from every nation.
 
yeh i guess some get tired of always hearing "where in the states are you from?"... but I don't really care anymore..not like many of them can tell the dif between different accents thoughout England

but please, i plead with you all when you see canadians waring flags on their packs and shorts with many pockets and their university t-shirt, please point and laugh!!:)
