Employers/Employees

lol... Buckers you are well and truly 'Ardcore!

I will admit that it might have helped that I did half my Sunday night's required sleep while out on Saturday

Do you see my point though? If I can go out get smashed and still make it in I'm within my rights to expected others to, too, aren't I?

Buckley, I understand you two more than what you think.
My family runs a business with lots of employees and I'm far more empathic with employers than most workers ;)

No-one ever understands me Sil - you know that

Just meant that I didn't mean to start a row (for once  )

And can I also say that Buckley must have an incredibly fast recovery rate! Clubbing followed by aftershow, followed by aftershow followed by aftershow for me = off work until Wednesday at least! :P ;)

I don't think I've ever took a Monday off for weekend excess, may as well drag myself in, even if I don't do anything at least I'm there in body

My staff all get 20 days plus stats plus new year's eve and a half day on Christmas Eve.

But when many are making bonuses between £500 and £5000 a month (and those who don't currently can if they work hard enough) they want to be at work as often as possible anyway.

I have the same amount of holidays and i usually take them end of year when the construction sites are quite(r) anyway. Which is why I may only be doing a long weekend in september for Ibiza this year.

Those holidays sound reasonable Beccy, holidays tend to be only a big issue if you don't get many other decent benefits IMO.

I'd agree with that, some of my staff take a few days off and just ask for the rest to be paid on top.

May i also add that most reasonable employers will give a few additional unpaid days off which then suits both parties.

Give and take and all that ....

I get 20 days here, its supposed to be changing in June. What to thou i dont know. I only have 15 this year though because i started at the beginning of this month officially

it does annoy me when staff take a sickie when they've been out on the razz. it really is theft, stealing money for no work. Gross Professional Misconduct actually.
:?

I've let staff take 'discressionary days' where you phone in and be honest in you reasons for taking time off. It's the lying I dont like.
