I was surprised of the whole thing really. I meant no offence with my laughing ;) . I thought the dealing included buying also, so that's how I miss understood it, my bad...

Now that I have given more thought to it, it make sence. The laws in my country considering drugs is far from being that "liberated" one might say. I totally agree, that when something is not allowad it attracts more, especially the youngsters.

BTW: Tu eres de Mallorca verdad? Yo he estade barias veces en Mallorca y me gusta mucho. Este verano me parece que no voy a tener suficiente tiempo para ir a alli, pero espero que en el año que viene me dara tiempo para pasar unos dias en la isla....It's been a a while since I last wrote anything en español, so I hope it's readable :). Don't worry I didn't take very seriously but I coudnt refuse the tentation to say : don't laugh so much 8) 8) 8) jejejeje, for once I can be sarcastic ;) . Read the links I have put the explain exactly the legal situation with drug in Spain and the rest of Europe.

I also like to practice writing Spanish, it's just a question of having time to do it. Here in Valencia the people are most receptive to those learning Spanish and do a lot to help. It's a top place to learn Spanish.

Back on topic, I think the best advice on "la droga" is that subtlety is the name of the game. Don't expect to get away with it blatantly, act sensibly and trust your intuition. Dodgy people are abound, so play it safe and you'll be fine. Skate too close to the limit and you might pop on out!

If you are allowed to take them, as long as your not sellin them and have only enough for personal use, are the guardia likely to do any searches when you are leaving a club and walkin back to your hotel off your head at any time in the day/night???!!!:?

The line between what's personal use and what's to be sold it's not too clear, so you better don't get caught with them, even a little one. Do what you would do in your own country and you'll be fine, Ibiza it's not a no-law island ;)

Believe it or not at alot of controls especially near clubs or raves the will have the drug k-9's there and they are looking for people driving under the influence or with drugs on them.

If your stopped by a Guardia or Policia Nacional and your completely spangled out of your head the probability is that nothing will happen especially if you can speak spanish, but please keep in mind that the Spanish Police can do whatever they want in the sense that if your off your head and you give them some lip unintentionally (what we call "eschandole cojones" over here) they will take you in for being intoxicated in public if they feel like it and you won't be having a good time that night....

I totally agree....after working there all season I realised that you really do have to be careful, especially if you are an English Tourist as a lot of the Guardia think you are there to cause trouble, I heard a lot of horror stories regarding the Guardia and tourists/workers - a lad I knew only got out on bail in October :? Its just common sense and keeping your wits about you though, and being aware that it is stil illegal, same as in England :D

What about if you get caught with a 'laughing cigarette'? Ok, ok, I know but I just wanted to use the term......
