Hear what your saying there Kitty, but have to say there really is no excuse.
Your right, loads of people (myself included) have driven after a night on the ale etc and therefore over the limit. Thing is not to distinguish between any substance. Suffice to say it has been some long time since I last did this.
Its quite simple, I (and everyone else should do this too) just dont drive if not capable. That includes being too tired. On a night out, get one person to agree to stay straight. You can all take it in turn so over time it evens out.
I have no idea how old you are, and im really not singling you out here, but your view does change as you get older. When in my teens/early 20's I thought i could justify being a bit west and driving, but life has taught me different.
Might sound a bit drastic but every time you think about driving whilst not sober you have to ask yourself "am I ready to die?". Usually the answer will be no, so therefore dont do it.
If you do die driving under the influence your life insurance wont pay out either. If you dont die but do crash, regardless of who is actually to blame you will be prosecuted too. Not a great prospect is it?
