does "PACHA" stand for anything?

As far as I can tell, Pacha stands for over priced tickets for a crowded dance floor, commercial music, and having to be a 'VIP' to enjoy a club...

Basically, Pacha stands for nothing I want.

hmmm. i see your point, but...

- you dont' have to be a vip to go to pacha
- quite a few of the friday, most of the sunday and some of the saturday line ups have nothing to do with commercial music IMO
- tickets for those said events are 48€ - quite a normal price here in ibiza.

pasha is the anglicised version of a turkish word used in the ottoman empire (which occupied most of the arabic speaking lands) meaning chief. pacha is the spanish version of the same word

So its a glorified kebab shop then:)

Like. (Though I've not been to the one in Ibiza, but I have been to the one in Majorca which wasn't much more than a glorified townie club you get back home.)

which pacha did you go to ?
the "original" one at paseo maritimo which closed in 2006
or the new one in palmanova which opened in 2010 ?

The new one. Don't get me wrong, it was okay, but little more than okay despite all the hype surrounding the brand.
