Um, actually, that's a lie, but I can spell though ;)

This post makes me laugh, everyone is typing soooo carefully to make sure there's no grammar errors picked up by the other Grammatical Boffs! (me included ;) )

I'm a little like that, it really winds me up when people say "I aint got nothing" when it should be "I haven't got anything" :x

For your mental health I think Becki and Lesse better not read my posts then

Leese not Lesse Sil! tut!!! ;)

Sil you have better English than most of the UK peeps on this thread don't you worry about that ;)

After venting my spleen over this, I shall be typing all of my responses in the future in a word document. I shall then do a full spell/grammar check, cut and paste and then post.

Do we not have a spellcheck facility within the forum for posting?

would never start on silv about her english, its fabulous :D

its just this new fangled hip hop stylee english I cant grasp

I don't mind grammatical errors so much- for me language is constantly evolving and expression is much more important than following rules (unless its in a business letter or something official), but I really can't stand people writing in that horrible text speak with half of the letters missing. It gives me a headache just looking at it.

For me, its the "2" instead of to, too, two, "cud" instead of could, "wud", instead of would - need I go on? Its like you are 11 years old or something, not someone who has gone through 13 years of full time education. 8O

it reminds me of when I was about 12 and the girls in my class started replacing 's' at the end of words with 'z'

I am constantly telling Pauls kids off for writing in text form, I wont answer their texts if it's written in shorthand

I think so.  my dad wouldn't let me have them on my shoes, partly because he though it looked common and partly because he's a real ale drinker and doesn't approve of lager

I had my first real snog with a Brosette (I was a late starter). Glad things never went further, I could have been jailed...

Quality - that's up there with Saffy's admission of snogging Tony 'To Cut A Long Story Short' Hadley back in the day......
