Re-read the thread as it's been exhumed and feel bad for this. Turns out he was a mate of mate, sorted me guest list in the states and sorted us drinks on the night too. Was a very nice bloke.

back on topic though - what is the purpose of a DJ poll in a year like this? What are the criteria? genuine question!
Who has a large enough profile to still sell DJ Mag? Who will still be able to afford advertising in a year's time?
 
Move D deserves no 1 for the continuous streams of quality sets he’s done over the last few months
 
a throwback to those laughable polls where dutch trance kids rigged the final results but I guess there is a time in your life when it all matters so much

(probably why I tuned into the R1 Top 40 every Sunday 1986-92)
