DJ from LA coming to Ibiza, wanting to meet promoters

I thought that they like to represent some of the best from each country out there (not sayin I'm one of the best).

I'm sure alot of brits fly out there all the time (no offese to brit DJ's) and wanna play, but doesn't it all come down to the music? I get a HARD ON when I see my following go balistic when I spin.

I live for the looks on their faces when I play something better then the last one played.

I'm not going down there to say I DJ'ed in Ibiza, I wanna party like a rockstar down there. When I was there in 2002, and got to party with Picotto, Corsten, Signum, Gee Moore, Mark Van Dale, got to meet Tiesto and he signed his vinyl for me, met Lisa Lashes, Jules, In the both with DJ Scott Project when he spun at Eden (I was a major fan of his back then), and I took pics with all of them.

I have kinda spun in Ibiza before.......I got to spin a track during manumission on the main floor (but 1 song doesnt really count).

This year, I wanna top that year.

What do you think?

can't fault you for enthusiasm !

sorry eddie x.. you are making me laugh!!

if you are the `very famous` dj you say you are.. why wouldn`t you know any of these big superstar Djs personally.. and why on earth is tis the first time I`ve even heard of you

With all due respects, in live in the US, and it's really closed off the electrical music scene..... certain places have alitle more influence than others, but the scene in LA has completely died.

In regards to me, why dont you go do some homework... it aint hard to find me on the web.

its just that i have never heard someone talk about how famous they are.. even if they are..

if they are famous, they don`t need to say it.. thats all..

actually if you remember, i DID ask how to find you on the web.. becasue I didn`t find anything about you..

anyway.. hope you have good time in ibiza

Thanx, i appriciate it. But I'm not saying I'm some bigtime DJ, just very known in the states.

Try under eddie x 2000 after your CD in google or yahoo

or eddie ecstasy from LA

eddie x LA (there is an older DJ named eddie x that played hip hop in Miami years ago)

Sorry - but by the same bag of records I mean exactly what you described.

The latest Subliminal/Infected, sorry Defected, Subliminal release that everyone plays.

You will need something different to stand out.

Well,

worse comes to worse, i'll buy a whole case full of records from Delta Disco if i have to!

I do have some unique stuff i picked up in Egypt.... arabic house music.

Really really nice beats.... very urbal.

By the way, for all the none believers, I sent some pics to Stuie from my last Ibiza Adventure.

I once bought some tracks from Africa, Mud House.

When it comes to getting a gig dj ing you either need to be established in that area already or you need to know a few people either other Dj's or Promotors, you probably no this already. If you contact someone in Ibiza B4 you go they would probably not pay you too much attention.
If you go out there with records if you get to know a few people or as you said you know Gee then that will help.
Most dates in the clubs are already scheduled with Dj's so its a bit late for them.
The other places to try would be the bars over there.
Ive done the same thing B4 and It took me about 2 months of networking and getting to know people b4 i got some work and i went in late April.
If you have gigs on your CV then that will help but in Ibiza its all about right here right now
Good luck anyway.

Every sad sack wants to be a DJ.

Get yourself a handful of the same records as everyone else and you may be in with a shout.

I have a friend 'DJ Freddie Coke Habit'.

He wants to play out as well but he is too scared to leave the house.

Anyone else miss CYA?
