Probably a track called "Swing To Harmony" by Nikola Gala, on Mathew Dekay's label. But there are a lot of good records about at the moment, house music is healthy again !!!

it very very hard to just land on a plane and get work out here. Everything really needs to be hooked up before the season starts.

Seconded, going out there in July with a bag of records and getting work will not happen, you'd need to go out in May.
 
I'm gonna have to start calling some of my resources now.

This isn't as easy as I thought.

I'm gonna get in touch with all the DJ's here that emailed, replyed and even priv. messaged me, so I can come hear you play individually.
 
Every sad sack wants to be a DJ.

Get yourself a handful of the same records as everyone else and you may be in with a shout.

I have a friend 'DJ Freddie Coke Habit'.

He wants to play out as well but he is too scared to leave the house.

Technically it isn't going to happen, as the sign says at Bora Bora 'We don't need any DJs, so don't ask'.

I didn't know it's like that in Ibiza........ are there DJ's constantly buggin people to play out there?

Well, I'll take my chances and make a couple phone calls, and see if I can make something happen.

If I do end up DJing somewhere, I'll where a shirt that has my name on it so you can say, "This bitch actually came thru"

what does this hand full of records consist of?

My style is really all over the place in regards to house music.

I play house music similar to and including Junior Jack, Lee Cabrerra, Laurent Wolf, Shana Moon, as well as a more arabeque flavour of house music.

Does that fit in with what I would expect down there?

By the way, is Da Hype played out?

I think you've maybe underestimated just how many hopefuls go over with a bag of records and try and blag something.
The BEST a lot of people can hope for, is some pub / bar dj'ing, and certainly not at the bigger places like Bar M, Base etc. Even then, you're in the queue with everyone else (and let's face it, EVERYONE wants to be a dj these days).

I'm not trying to put you off, and wish you all the best when you head out there, but you've got to be prepared to be disappointed.

I'm hardly a big dj mate !
Not in the grander scheme of things !

I'm only just getting a foot in the door.

I'm not out in Ibiza until the first two weeks of August.
If you use Soulseek, you should be able to get my newest mix, just search for "Hirst Harlem" and it's named "Stu Hirst Harlem Records DJ Mix June 2004".

With all due respect Eddie, the clubbing and dance music world revolves around the little white island of ibiza. How could you not know that it was like this?
 
I thought that they like to represent some of the best from each country out there (not sayin I'm one of the best).

I'm sure alot of brits fly out there all the time (no offese to brit DJ's) and wanna play, but doesn't it all come down to the music? I get a HARD ON when I see my following go balistic when I spin.

I live for the looks on their faces when I play something better then the last one played.

I'm not going down there to say I DJ'ed in Ibiza, I wanna party like a rockstar down there. When I was there in 2002, and got to party with Picotto, Corsten, Signum, Gee Moore, Mark Van Dale, got to meet Tiesto and he signed his vinyl for me, met Lisa Lashes, Jules, In the both with DJ Scott Project when he spun at Eden (I was a major fan of his back then), and I took pics with all of them.

I have kinda spun in Ibiza before.......I got to spin a track during manumission on the main floor (but 1 song doesnt really count).

This year, I wanna top that year.

What do you think?
