Has anyone ever done this before? How long did you last for?

I've just started this week, fibre cereal for breakfast, salad for lunch, then vegetables for dinner. No coffee, tea, cigarettes, alcohol 8O
I'm not taking any detox tablets or anything, just gonna try and abstain from all vices for a few weeks!

I'm craving a big bag of Doritos though

Don't forget, all your fruit & veg has to be organic ;)

£££££££££'s

have been since last week, going well and feeling good.

have loads of vegetables, nuts etc. remember to drink enough water, replace tea with hot water with a slice of lemon.

have as much fruit/vegetable juices as you want and eat as much of your veg raw as you can.

have no meat at all during your detox red/white.

TRY......

TRY HOLLAND AND BARRETS milk thistle tablets....excellent for cleaning your liver.system out!....gets rid of unwanted substances very quickly.... 8) not cheap though......but a must have for a cleanse out!

I keep telling myself "I'll start tomorrow" and tomorrow never comes, I'm crap!!!!!!

I'll give it a go tomorrow

Not even one teensy weensy grilled chicken breast :(

Also, what about pasta/rice? Is it only the brown versions you're allowed?

I find extremly hard those detox diets or loosing weight diets.

For me it's easier to have a regular balanced diet with some concessions on the weekends than a two weeks healthy life marathon. ;)

Well I'm gonna do it until Friday, thats definate (unless I collapse with hunger 8O )

After that I probably will go back to eating healthily again, I just want to try and flush out these damn toxins ;)

no, not till the end!! all meat even chicken takes longer to digest than all the veg so will slow down all the vitamins being released into the body.

apparently all pasta is a no go, even wholemeal. brown rice is good.

OK Im going to Marks and Spencers in a minute to get some lunch, any recommendations?

It needs to fill me up until 5.30 :?:

Substitute meats with fresh fish ;)

You need a protein source.

not really, not on a short term 7-10 day detox plan.

Bit dangerous IMO!

Your body can make substantial changes in 7-10 days and lack of protein could seriously damage your system e.g. your body will start to eat it's own muscle tissue for protein if none is eaten 8O

Be careful people.

Nice veg salad with raw carrot etc and then buy loads of fruit to last you the rest of the day, keep eating when your peckish.

It's not fun, but it's not supposed to be!! ;)

I agree, all binge & crash dieting is silly and dangerous anyway. A more balanced and gradual change in diet is far healthier and easier to maintain.

I agree all binge and crash dieting is silly and dangerous but we werent talking about diet.

Detox is different, it's about the flushing through and cleansing of the body. You can safely do this without endangering yourself. After a binge period like christmas you won't miss the protein for 1 week.

I can highly recommend the Bioforce detox plan. I've been doing it now every 6 months for 7 years and it does work. You can eat chicken and fish - it's the red meat that's a no-no. No wheat, yeast, chocolate, tea, coffee, alcohol, dairy prods (if poss). You take two lots of drops, two lots of tablets for your digestive system (with your breakfast and dinner) and drink golden grass tea. You take nothing with your lunch and lots of water. So lots of salad, veg (roasted or steamed), jacket spuds, brown rice dishes, fish, chicken.

It's great. After about 5 days you will start to feel good. You wake up in the morning before the alarm and you just don't feel lethargic and have so much energy.

It's a great food plan for anyone intolerant to yeast and wheat - no bloatedness and you just eat and eat and eat.

You can buy all the things you need individually in places like Fresh & Wild or good health food shops. The plan is for ten days - we usually do two weeks and then feel tip top ;)
