yeah but wasnt it meant to be closed for 3 months last yr and amnesia 2 months or whatever and it got overturned

i really don't care about mr. dc10
what i care is that most of the money i earned this and last year and the year before went to the bank for my trip in ibiza...i've already paid for my tickets and accommodation...
however if i knew from the start that dc10 and possibly amnesia would be closed during the summer i probably wouldn't have booked
now this is a huge mistake don't you think???
i mean that dc10 might not respect the law but this is the government's problem not mine...however by doing this now the problem becomes automatically mine...

why the **** do they wait til the start of the season after the opening party to make such a decision
but they have places soooo many more stupid rules this year, it's highly unlikely they are going to overturn them all. Especially the ones that matter, such as clubs having to wait until 4:30 to open.
no one, not even the clubs are trying to overturn those rules.... and those ones in my opinon, are more important than DC10 shutting down for a couple of months, because it means there are more and more of these ridiculous laws to come..
why do you think? because it will hurt them... that's the point.. Why would they shut them down when hardley anybody goes there.
It sucks, but hardley surprising...

so dc10 loses 3/4 of the season..is that going to be enough income to keep the club open
that's what the authorities want...they don't want to see DC10 sticking around!!
I guess DC 10 should have toed the line, but I really don't see why they are enforcing this now when it could have happened earlier in the season or at the end of last season. This seems to be damaging to the whole island's economy and image, not just for the clubbers. I go regularly with the family and clubbing is a very minor part of our stay, but this feels a little arbitrary and petty.
Making a living is tough these days and Ibiza depends on all it's tourists.
It certainly takes away from that magical feeling that Ibiza is an accepting and open place, where the nanny state has not yet taken over, something that inspires all visitors there a bit, even if they never go to clubs...

DC10 attracts 1000’s of people every year to the island and they also have companies chartering flights to get out there for new year. DC10 has been open all winter doing parties and event organisers are gutted that the authorities have now decided to enforce this now.

why would there be a price hike for the irish. there's no currency exposure, hotel prices have increased hardly at all in euros? flights to everywhere have increased because of fuel prices.

I got two weeks tomorrow.
I just spend £1157 yesterday getting 1400 euros for my trip. I have saved hard all year for this trip. I already spent £400 on the flights and accomodation.
I have accepted all the changes they made, which i honestly believe were for the benefit of the island and i was really looking forward to it.
Now i cant go to my favourite party.
And if amnesia closes i will miss my other favourites (cocoon and cream).
that will really make me feel like i have wasted my money.
this will be the last time i come to ibiza, its getting ridiculous now.
this is my 7th and final time.
they must see the damage there doing? if only 1000 people took the same stance as me that is £1,000,000 less spent on the island

So glad I booked for September now. Feel gutted for all you guys who have have booked up to go in the near future though. It totally sucks!!!
