Dc10 Reopened!

their license is for only 65 people and is a cafe concierto license which means that people are seated to listen to the music.
Three Cautions
The "after hours" bar DC-10 re-opened its door last Monday, and immediately received three cautions after a police visit. The cautions were given for exceeding the capacity of the bar (it officially only holds sixty-five people), having music on an illegal terrace, and for people dancing on the same terrace. The visit was made by police, hours after the bar had opened its doors after the recent ban received for allowing the sale of drugs on its premises.

More Fines
The Consell Insular's clampdown on businesses breaking the law continued last week, after several establishments were fined for various offences. The biggest was handed out to Cala Vadella resort, for operating as tourist apartments without the necessary permission. They were fined a hefty €60,000. A smaller fine (€30,050) was handed out to the agro-tourism hotel, Can Pere, for a similar offence. Much smaller fines ranging from €2,000-€4,000 were in turn handed out to Café California (San Antonio), and Rodeo Fun Park (Cala de Bou), for operating as restaurants without the appropriate licences, DC-10 for not observing their limit on capacity within the bar area, and Cap Llentrisca for organising an illegal "fiesta".

during the last days josé manuel bar (the man who closed down you know which three venues) has been interviewed in various places to talk about the season gone and about the three clubs closed.....

· on last sunday's ultima hora (no online version):
"there has been some interesting complaints, like that it damages the tourist industry, but at the same time the hoteliers, the p.i.m.e.e.f., fomento de turismo and other organizations related to the tourism praised the measure and said it benefits the image of ibiza and the tourist industry. what would happen with our tourist industry if we were tolerant with drugs, where would this lead to?"

· on this week's prensa pitiusa (no website):
"if we continue being tolerant with drugs we will end up killing the tourist industry"

· last monday or tuesday on cadena ser radio when asked if next summer there will be more clubs closed:

· on today's diario de ibiza (complete interview):
"spacing the times will give people a break to go to rest. i dont think it should be less than 6 or 8 hours. i think 12 hours would be ideal: from 6am to 6pm"

he also talks about the new policía autonómica in the balearics, about the guardia civil and policía nacional joining forces and becoming one, etc.....

It's better than not being open at all - surely it's better to have clubs open most of the evening/night than shut....then again if they are in the middle of no where with no residential area in the proximity who cares!! 8)8)

aye but.... 12 hours??

thats hefty taking the piss... fair enough, midday or even 2pm. 6pm is a joke.

this man is a human joke:!:

the law is about noon ... not later! But why a man decide for everibody?why not a voting for a law?

he act like a king, all the club should go on court against him :!:

I read an article in one of the Ibiza newspapers last week that whilst the clubs would have to finish at 6am, they would be able to re-open at noon.
