DC10 getting demolished

It'll be my 4th DC10 year this year and my 11th trip to the club, and I've noticed a change, but its' swings and roundabouts. It used to be rammed in the past on and off, but it's busier now. The lack of shade did drive people away. I've never been before 1pm, so the whole afters idea is sometning I've not experienced, and with it possibly being the last time this year, I'm almost tempted to do it.
Having said that, I liked the way that DJs did turn up unannounced, like seeing Lottie and Lawler (and P Diddy one day, what a twat) but to be fair, a few years ago, the whole 'minimal' thing wasn't as big as it was now, and only the likes of Tania and Clive Henry and Jo Mills were known outside DC10 by many. As a club and music grows in popularity, and the sound really goes into the mainstream from the underground, it's bound to happen.
Yes, the'yve lost a lot of the surpise guests, but the music's not any worse, in fact (after a dip last year where it just got TOO minimal) the music's been incredible both times I've been this summer. The likes of Troy Pierce and Gui Boratto, which I've only seen for the first time this summer have been welcome additions, and pretty much all the ressies do the business for me.
Whenever a club becomes more popular, (and Mixmag along aren't at fault for this) how can you complain that great music and clubbing experiences are being shared by more people? Everyone likes to say "I went there back in.... or when it was good etc" but that can only last so long, and the fact that Circo Loco has been fresh for so long is amazing. It still feels pretty undergournd, and while some dickheads do go, they're usually back out the door soon enough. Anyone that wants to stick with it is fine in my book.
I love the place, and it's still the best club in the world for me. Simple.

I heard the same thing.
Apparently Circo Loco will be at Privilege on Monday nights - the party last Monday was a test run.
But then Andrea Pelino was quoted as saying in an interview with the Pacha mag that when Dc10 is over, so is Circo Loco.
I'll ask around and see what people are saying.
I heard this rumour too from workers on the island - however when I went to DC10 they had posters up advertising the closing party the next week so who knows.
As for DC10 this year was brilliant as usual, however after about 7pm it just got TOOO busy and was full of italian chavs (sorry to any italians out there) just standing in the middle either dealing or pushing and shoving each other or having conversations on their mobile phones or arguing with each other
. In the end left at 11 when I just couldn't take it any more and it was ruining the experience for me.
I'd say arrive at 12, stay until 7pm or so. That's when I had the most fun by far.

Also DC10 at privilege as a proper night? Was utter rubbish, the sound system in there was absolutely hopeless - tracks that would have killed DC10 simply fell flat in the main room there.
It'll fail if it's there as none of the atmosphere is carried through. Even the coco loco room hasn't got a good enough sound system to cope :x

Really, I just spoke to Rach who got back today and she said she had a brilliant night @ Privilege.
I guess at the end of the day Circo Loco is way too popular for the size of DC10 these days so what's their next move............

I had a very odd night at privilege - had a great time to begin with waiting for it to 'warm up' by being incredibly silly but it never actually got there in the main room and in the coco loco room the sound system was very dodgy, but better than the main room.
Also it smells of egg in there
Also it's such a huuuuuuuuuge club and difficult to get an atmosphere in at the best of times, it would be a strange choice for a venue imo but what do I know
was that a black kind of rastafarian guy you saw being beaten the monday before last around 9.15pm?
if so, i saw that happen too. it was frankly disgraceful. totally unnecessary brutality from the bouncers.
How do they get away with doing that kind of thing. From what I could see, the guy wasn't causing a major disruption. Even if he was, surely bouncers are trained in restraint techniques so this kind of savagery is not necessary. I hope he was OK in the end. I left soon afterwards, and i never thought i'd say it but i was glad to leave dc10 and get to the airport!

no, it wasn't him. I saw a white guy getting a kicking about 3pm'sh just by the queue, it all seemed a storm in a tea cup until they got him the floor, basically just held him down by kneeling on him & punched him until blood was pouring from his head.

I actually much prefered DC10 this year to previous ones.
Yes, it's a lot busier but I thought it was a more 'anything goes' this season and with some of the friendliest people in any clubs. It was like a gay orgy at times thoughs. I had several people accidentally bang into and every time they apologised profusely. It was more chatty than any other night I'd been to and just generally a whole lotta fun.

Circo Loco transferring from daytimes at DC-10 to nights at Privilege? That's a horrible idea. I fervently hope it doesn't happen.
I thought the main difference with the crowd this year was there were more young Spaniards, Italians and British wearing the generic boardie/t-shirt uniform, and somewhat less of the trash-glamour Euro waster types with which I always associate the club.
But there was still a good friendly vibe both times I went. And the music was even better than last year.

I didn't make it to DC10 this year even though I intended to go. I was put off my the many bad reports I'd heard about it. I dont mind moody crowds (Ive been to a lot of D&B events ) and I don't mind what music is being played as long as it's good to dance to. But what I cannot stand is when a venue is packed out to the rims and you can't move in there. I went to DC10 a few years ago and it was busy, but you could still move and dance. I heard that the previous week there you couldnt even get onto the terrace because it was so busy!
I could see it being a waste of €60 for me and Jon, because I knew as soon as I walked in, if it was too busy I would have walked straight back out again.
I hope they sort out their door policy because I like it as a club and do want to go there again
