That's just the thing, it is not a mega club, where models and celebrities can come and have their drinks, it is not Amnesia, Space or Pacha, where the dancers are all wearing suits and coctail dresses, it is a dump, it is a place where people can get down and dirty, it is a place which defines the true meaning of clubbing, to be free, to wear, act, dance and do what you want, where no one will criticize you, because everyone shares the same feeling.
But you failed to grasp that, so, I can only feel bad for you.
Its so sad to see this beloved place going down like this, some of the greatest memories I have is from the terrace with the Red walls, no place will ever be able to match it if it indeed closes down.
Absolutely no place.
pull your head out from the sand then ! !But why not, what's the problem if they have all the correct licenses etc? This is something I haven't been able to get my head around![]()
can you point out and translate the interesting parts please???when the **** hits the fan ...
scroll down the link mentioned below and read the "commentarios" -
more than 25 already and some are very interesting:
and yet it's taken them how many years to realise they don't want the place.
precisely none. the new san jose government came to power (ON A MANDATE TO REPRESENT THE PEOPLE - not big businesses) in may 2007. whatever was allowed to go on before happened under the right wing conservatives..................
Maybe a big city somewhere? I would definitely go to Circoloco Barcelona or Napoli plus haven't they already had one-off parties in those cities?
You dont need that condescending attitude mate.
I did "Grasp" the concept, and i have been a load of times over the past 3 years, mainly as we'd have nowhere else to go monday mornings.
Lets get it straight. it wasnt, and never has been the ground breaking concept people say it is. It was a room with some fans, and a DJ more playing minimal. It was interesting in 2005 as it was fairly new, and ill agree with you that in the early days it was an exciting place to be. But dont try and tell me it was the same over the past two years, because it wasnt. Plainly.
it got the reputation as a place where you can get K'd up and get away with it. On Monday mornings, and tied in with the minimal explosion. In 2006 and 2007, it was ****ing ****e. The sit downs were tired and orchestrated and it was almost tacky. It was full of people who though they were the bollocks with that pathetic attitude house music appears to carry with it, with trainspotting fools quoting the name of the tune when it drops. Full of bedroom DJs who think they are the next best thing.
If thats what you call clubbing with "People in the know" then you can keep it!! If you like knocking about with people with their eyes rolling into the back of their head in the name of having a good time then thats fair enough!
Sure, it was something different, but dont claim it was something its not.
Space in the late 90's had a feel. Amnesia and Ku im sure in the late 80's had that buzz. But dont tell me DC10 was even close to those.
Ill be glad to see the back of the place. There are so many better parties in Ibiza
according to ibiza voice it will be open until the end of season whilst they contest decision
this isn't that dissimilar to the words i spoke a couple of years ago. circo loco became fake, when one of its supposed best qualities was it's raw, genuine, atmosphere.
people went to be crazy, pretending to do crazy stuff, not cos they were. every twat had a camera "wwwoooooohoooooo, look i'm being crazy at dc10, quick take a picture". bollox
mixmag had been plastering it as "the" place since 2001, so it just became another place to tick off, completely nothing like what it was like when it made its name, as a true after, people carrying on directly from space, etc, etc
What year did DC10 start anyway?
I only started going to Ibiza in 2004 so I guess ignorance is bliss![]()
Am I right in remembering that in the early days it was free to get in? or is my brain playing tricks (again)
