Seth was brilliant. Absolutely loved his set last night. Also thought the Martinez Brothers were pretty good as well, they didn't disappoint.

Probably because it was overpacked. If everyone dances like a loon when it's like that, it would likely just turn into a mosh pit with bodies crashing into each other constantly. Maybe OK when you're 16 at a Heavy Metal concert, but those of us from an era when everyone had ample space on the dancefloor in clubs have difficulty going with this. Take a look a the vids from Amnesia, Ku etc. and you can see how far things have turned round to become sardine-smashes from happy dancefloors. Those crushes are not in any shape or form what raves / clubs were like when "dance music" originally took off late 80s / 90s, if ppl saw clubs like that nowadays they'd probably be moaning that they were half-empty

A lot of 'tourists' will be at DC10 because they think it is cool and the place to be. Unfortunately like a lot of places, these people don't get the dancing all night thing. They will however have great pleasure in telling their mates that they were at DC10 though. f***in idiots.
Would never go to DC10 myself.

Has every Monday been as busy as last week or was it something of an exception due to it being one of their best line ups all summer? They have tried adding other nights in the past but its never lasted, I remember going to Pandemonium years ago...problem with those is that its just the main room and people want to experience the terrace so would still go on a Monday.
Paradise has done well to grow out from main room only to full blown terrace and is now arguably busier than most Mondays, but it has taken 3 years or so to get there.

Its really frustrating cos I love the venue and have been going since 2003 . Although I really enjoyed it on Monday ( music was great ) as soon as the garden stopped the dancing stopped . Didn't even bother going in the terrace and that's where all my good memories come from. Only stayed in the main room as we were close to the exit and had an easy escape if we needed to .
Remember going to dc10 in 2007 around 8 in the morning about 50 people dancing in the terrace for a couple of hours all having a great dance and even later in the evening you could still throw some shapes .
Maybe they should have a circoloco Friday session for us over 30's to stop us from moaning so much !

Yep completely get what you are saying mate....usually when I go I try and go as early as possible to avoid the crush as I'm usually heading to Cocoon at 1 or 2 anyway...
I remember I went last year earlier in September and it was nice...not too bad at all, and was still a good, consistent Circo Loco line up. Its hard to judge the way they release line ups as well as you can't say in advance if its likely to be a roadblock or not.
Problem with DC10 is if they put too much on they risk canabolising the nights they already have.

ok so dc10's season went a little like this:
opening party - of course super packed
then circoloco started with good numbers, not packed but no surprise as early season. circoloco then felt it when paradise opened at start of july and I'd even go so far and say they also felt the life & death night on fridays in august. circoloco generally got busy later than in the last years and often just wasn't THAT packed. I'm not saying it wasn't very busy, don't get me wrong, but it's a fact that in july and august it was just often not as rammed as it normally is on mondays.
the main reason for that is obviously paradise, who had its best season ever and was packed on every single date all summer. their line ups were simply stronger in a lot of weeks than circoloco's (I'm not saying the line ups were 'better' eh) and to me it does feel as if paradise have almost taken over from circoloco a bit. then also the life & death night did pretty well. this was of course just a one floor story, so maybe 1000 people? not sure, but still - a few hundred people that used to go to circoloco because they wanted to see tale of us did swerve the monday in favour for the friday.
only the last two or three mondays have been very busy again now - firstly because no more friday, second because paradise closed last week, third because generally a few parties less on the island again and fourth also because september line ups have been very good.
dc10 closing on monday will be 100% rammed as always.

Just seen a vid of Space closing Kimajy it's not just DC10. People just aren't dancing these days, it's pathetic and no excuse!

It's not like that all through - the final morning session with Coxy at Space closing can be mental - I remember it from 2011 was brilliant. It's just the middle bit in between the car park closing and the final hours which I'd happily go home and kip through !

correct, crowded as f*** - but the best music I've heard all summer I have to admit.
as for still dancefloors, depends who you're with I guess, I haven't stopped dancing all night.

I would just add that it seems much harder these days than several years back to find that perfect balance between empty and jam packed. I actually skipped Circo Loco twice this year as neither lineup I got did it for me. I did however go to the Paradise opener and the Life & Death closing party both were very crowded but Paradise was on a whole different level. While the music at Paradise was good, I didnt really love the shortened sets (with exception of JJ b2b Martinez bro) and literally being able to do nothing more than wiggle on the terrace. Life & Death on the other hand was very crowded at times especially at start of Tale of Us set, but was never unbearable. If there is no return of Life & Death next year, i am really glad that i chose to go because i thought it was special in terms of a shorter season party. Paradise, unless I loved loved the lineup, i would honestly probably skip because for me the vibe is just not there and its beyond a sweat box.

Actually seriously considering getting VIP for next years Closings (as much as i hate the whole VIP thing) as it's just simply somewhere to not get crushed...
That's the sad, depressing state of affairs where people feel it's necessary to pay extra money so they can feel relatively safe...
