DC10 - don't forget ear plugs?

What ones / brand do you use Stivi? I def need some for next trip I think....

elacin. it's the ones we can get here. 15dB filters. you should get them where you live though as it takes a few days (two weeks here) until the mould of your ear comes back.

I actually think the brand isn't that important, but definitely get a pair of custom made (adapted to your ears) ones done with a filter not below 10dB.

last year dc10 main room was painful without earplugs. This year even with (crappy) earplugs we could hardly stay at the terrace bar during Seth troxler's set. Same problem in the amnesia main room (hyte). Space's main room was too loud but less painful. Pacha was ok.

Being 35 I already lost some high frequency hearing...I'm having some custom made earplugs for Croatia and ADE ! I'm not sure to choose -15 or -25 dB.

Buy an app for the iphone called SPL Meter... It's only 79p and it'll tell you what dB the music is at in a club... You can then get an idea of what filters to get... I've got customer made Elacin's with -25 filters... :)

I got the -25db first but felt they lowered a bit too much and changed to the -15db which are perfect for most things. I can always swap if needed but tend to not stand directly in front of speakers now and keep a distance. You can also buy the blockers which block all sound, handy for when on planes or loud hotels and trying to sleep (or if you ever find yourself at a Guetta, Aoki or Avicci night)

I bought some similar to these https://www.djkit.com/search.php?manufacturer=&needle=earplugs

They had 3 different filters for , bar, gig, and club. I've used them on the gig filter in Ibiza for a few years and they make a huge difference, at first everything sounds muffled but you get used to it, only then do you realise how over the top the volume is in Amnesia e.t.c when you take one out! You only get one chance f hearing people! Invest in some, or you'll be annoying the mrs like i do with replying to everything with, what? Hey?!

got the elacin -25, wouldn't be comfortable with only -15 in most clubs in ibiza.
I only find that on floors with a very bassy system (sankeys or amnesia main in the morning hours) the are uncomfortably vibrating and droning in the ears. not standing next to the woofer helps and still better than without them.

Was at DC10 last night. Didn't seem any louder than anywhere else. Mind you as I type is has occurred my ears are actually ringing!

I had earplugs in most on Monday at DC10 but did take them out for a couple of tracks - and to be able to actually talk to people ! I actually thought the sound on the terrace was much improved on last time I was there. And the party itself was really great - by 1am was a bit too busy for me though but up until then just on the line of what I can deal with without getting frustrated with overcrowding. Mainly because people "stayed put" on the terrace more than in many places so not as much coming and going, which is what causes all the aggro.

Proper moulded earplugs won't make the musics sound muffled but clearer. Worth the extra investment.

There are a number of sacrifices you make for the love of it, the insomnia, nightmares, the sweats...... I could go on & on but every last one of them worth it when you see the sun splitting the sky, 8am Tuesday morning on the Amnesia terrace

I agree, but I don't think ringing in the ears is one of the things you have to have.

I've thought this about DC10 for a while...especially on the terrace as they have a great Void system out there.

Have you seen the sound technician? Old bloke with long grey beard?
