Cream Ibiza 2015

Also note Stivi's concerns re: the terrace being v.samey night-in, night-out.

I did say that and it's a fact if you look at terrace line ups of almost all amnesia parties this summer. but at the same time I'd like to add that purely speaking about cream, I think it's their best terrace line ups in years. a good and credible mix of artists and definitely a big step away from the 'EDM only' direction. the main room hasn't changed much, but that wasn't expected anyway.

June 18th lineup... Alotta trance, not a huge fan of the artists even though Patterson and Omnia are respected. I feel like I should go cuz it's Cream but I will wait to see what Space's Symmetry lineup will be

30th July
PVD - Main Room
Prydz - Terrace

That will do me nicely

Calvin Harris nowhere to be seen, I assume that this adds fuel to the rumours he will have residency in Ushuaia?
Calvin Harris not in ibiza, vegas is his natural home, hopefully hel be there lol

Wow! Most people know my musical tastes, but have to say those Terrace line-ups are actually pretty good, for the simple reason they are DIFFERENT!

Great to see Eric Prydz back too! I think I am pretty rare in that while my choice is usually tech/techno etc, I absolutely love Eric Prydzs sets. Just the energy that he produces is tremendous.

Re. Calvin Harris. I assume a few massive Ushuaia one-off events are planned!?

Calvin Harris may make an appearance, but count on him staying close to Vegas and LA with Taylor Swift.

Looks good glad they stopped spending a fortune on EDM "artists" such as Harris on the terrace. Guys like Prydz fit the bill and doesnt cost a fortune.

Other than that i would give the A&B nights a miss if they intend to play their latest music. Solid otherwise as always with great trance.

Maybe they can drop the ticket fees and drink costs now?

Prydz will still be on a few bob per night don't you worry about that!

This is why I always book 2 Thursdays, I can't stand the shit A & b play these days. They've turned into some super cheesy hipster trio.

I got the July 9 line-up, I hope PvD and Pattetson have at least 4 hours between them. I don't mind Ben Gold to be honest but Cosmic Gate have degenerated into complete crap and I know they'll headline. I'd kill to hear 'I Feel Wonderful' as my jaw is swinging but I know it won't happen. Cosmic Gate's new stuff is just horrendous. Sorry for all the negativity but I just wanted some banging trance like I usually get at Cream. I was spoiled last year I suppose. Not happy with this.

Why the f*** dilute the proper trance nights anyway by adding trouse crap like Cosmic Gate? Ok I can understand the A & b nights, but keep the actual trance nights pure. There wasn't a single trouse dj at all on the trance nights last year, it was all banging, and the nights had the most amazing flow. I went to 3 last year and I was blown away. Just won't be the same this year, I'm shattered.

I agree even though a saw a/b several years back at cream when they still played descend trance and found it good I am bit worried this time to see them play their latest soporific stuff ..

Its a pity as there are so many other better and most likely cheaper options for the promoters than a/b for a pumping energetic trance floor ... Seeing the poor line up on that day (2nd july) even on the terrace I am wondering if I wont switch and go for a change to the Enter opening party instead, dont want to pay 45e to sleep on the floor.

Anyone saw one of a/b gigs at cream last year to report if it was cheesy ?

Looks like most of the trance nights are ok, I just got really unlucky. f*** my life lol.

Is it me, or do trance fans build things up and up and then moan like f*ck about it?!

Anyway, my 2 pence on the terrace line ups (not even gonna pretend i have the knowledge or inclination to comment on the main room, i think i last saw PVD in 2001!), i think the terrace line ups are strong and seems to be the direction that cream is moving in: away from that EDM sound. The recent Nation line up with Duke Dumont, MK etc also demonstrates this. As well as the Asylum show in Liverpool that they promoted which was about as underground as it gets.

I wont be in Ibiza this year for a couple of reasons, if i was i would be looking to head down to Amnesia on a Thursday. And thats the first time in years i have thought that.

It's pretty much just me complaining to be honest, and that's because I got 2 shit dates. No need to generalise mate.

There's not much trance on the island either so you can see why people can get a bit passionate.
