Some positive news from the last week, my grandfather got his first Covid vaccine. Apparently it was chaos at the medical centre, which isn't so good. His second jab is scheduled for 7th January
Wonder why that is? Lack of staff or just due to the low temp storage so rushing around before it "goes off"?

A million vaccinate a week looks a but shaky then ?

If they are finding it chaotic with the first peoples who are elderly I believe what will happen when the younger want to get it.. all the News and lies are putting more fear into the population. People are waking up today feeling really let down..

Apparently 500,000 people will have had the vaccination in the U.K. by end of this weekend. In the times we live in, when everything is a failure of the state, I kind of think that number isn’t that bad?

My sister was administering the vaccine all day yesterday. Thankfully she said everything was calm and organised - lots of touching stories about super grateful and emotional people who haven’t left the house since March feeling like they’re having a bit of freedom and life restored.

In other news - I might have just had a 12th trip cancelled this year. Supposed to be off to Cape Town on 30th with a connecting flight in Amsterdam but of course the Dutch government have now banned UK passenger planes. Wish me luck! I’ll bloody need it.....

It involves actual work. ?

It's costing me nearly four grand for the work I'm having done on the garage. It's worth three grand of that just to have someone to talk to.

Just imagine the new normal - red light district - £25 for a quick chat, £50 for a natter and a cup of tea. £100 gets you the full-blown French- natter, tea and a game of cards.

There was a documentary on tv a while ago (could have been ch4 but not sure) which was about sex workers , and they said a fair proportion of customers where looking for someone to chat with. Sad state of affairs really ?

Seriously, when I'm in the garden tidying up I hope someone passes just to say "hello". It's crazy; as I've alluded to before we need pro-activity in arranging safe spaces for adults to chat together and just do the normal stuff. For the last nine months all we have had is "you can't do this, that and certainly not the other".
My local over 50's badminton club was shut down in march and hasn't started up again - gonna be 12 months shortly. If we can't play, surely we could at least meet up in the club and natter, everyone spread apart?

I noticed peeps in shops make eye contact, nod, chat etc a lot more.

When waiting at front for my new tv to come out the back warehouse (which took longer than buying the tv?), the guy on the nespresso stand was chatting away with me about all sorts.

I don't see why outside would be a problem unless alcohol is served and people get lax. I have noticed a fair few people posting the hashtag streetparty2020 or similar, meaning xmas day street party or that.

Dude, if you want someone to chat to, always up for shooting the breeze (ridiculous phrase), either on the phone or whatsapp or AOL messenger
