just consider we had a mini season this year...
without:
- ANY testing
- ANY vaccines

we saw the result of this experiment by mid august when we suddenly had a spike here.
Is there data to support the "season" being to blame, and not Spanish family gatherings?

The Balearics (with a season) did better than non-touristy parts of Spain!

Anyone planning on going on a cruise ?
I'd sooner vote for Brexit....well, almost.

Of all the things that you shouldn't do in 2021 this is top-of-the-list. I shat myself on the ferry to the Isle of Wight and there was no-one on. Mind you, not half as bad as the return trip from Portsmouth to Brighton on the train which set off with no-one on board, and the passed just about every school in Hampshire and they all piled on....stood in the corridor breathing down everyone. Gave up the ghost - no point in getting off as if I was gonna get it it would have been the first ten minutes.

As it happened I was as right as rain....must have been my lucky day. When the lockdown ends *memo to self* avoid rush-hour train especially when they pass big bloody covid-breeding grounds. And avoid cruises too.

So, after eight months of yes, no, stay in, go out, do this, don’t do that, I finally find myself stuck in a big covid shaped rut.

I can’t motivate myself to do anything but work, I can’t plan anything, all the dickheads ignoring the rules are making me cross and I’ve had enough.

Humph humph humph bollocks

Hell yeah, I've got zero motivation to do anything. To be honest if the bars were open tonight I'd have a struggle being bothered. Think I've been battered psychologically into submission now.

In April there was the hope -think we were all on here thinking if we could get a September/October season it's not too bad, just over 4 months away and spring would be a bad dream (and some money saved of course!), but now the light just seems to be getting further and further away.

Manchester - when we come out of national lockdown we go back into tier 3, meaning no bars, no pubs, no sports, nothing other than shopping. there's a glimmer that we could travel to more open parts of the country, but wherever there's that curfew @ 10pm. This is gonna go on well into the New Year, and I don't think there will be any real relaxation until 50% of us are vaccinated. I do hope they have vaccine passports.

Didn't realise how good summer here was when - yes we had to give our names in and sit apart in pubs etc - we could at least get a break in the UK, a hotel, beach, trpis etc even that's an unrealistic dream now. How, after 7 months can we be going backwards??
