Remembering that all those good people who voted Brexit have now cost us our EHIC card, meaning insurance companies can charge us what they like, may or may not cover us for covid (or similar) and may or may not cover us if we have had covid.
The EHIC was never a replacement or substitute for having travel insurance in place, it doesnt cover you for flight/holiday cancellations, stolen items, repatriation in the event of death, private medical facilities or all types of medical interventions. The current EHIC will only become invalid in the event of a no deal or if it wasnt written into the withdrawal agreement.

so depressing, nothing to look forward to

according to the article curfew until May 9, 2021 so the proposed opening parties defo cant go ahead in April/May, (probably wouldn't be able to anyway, but still)

i didn't expect the dream of the openings to get pied off so soon, we have tickets for the BPM showcase I just hope they have the good sense and respect for ticket purchasers to cancel it now and refund

Hope you get a refund

According to FAQ for pollen(promoters)/Brunch if they cant go ahead due to COVID-19 restrictions they will postpone to October 2021

Thanks hopefully a refund option is layed out first for those who don't want to roll it over
Yes they did say actually that can get refunds if do not want to go ahead with new dates

Not sure if that includes BPM, that's for we are festival etc

Of course, insurance is necessary for your belongings etc. However the medical side of travel insurance is always full of holes, example if you injure yourself while drunk (how do they prove drunk?) or if you are out on a speedboat and injure yourself etc. Maybe even if you ride one of thoes electric scooters etc.
These could be exclusions in the T's and C's, and insurance companies will find any loophole to get out of paying.
So a tourist has to go through all the exclusions, sure if you decide to do paragliding etc you can add it on, but it just adds an extra bit of stress to organising a holiday whereas before the EHIC should have covered you for any emergency treatment if you decide to have a skinful and love the idea of a jump off your balcony into the pool.

Also seeing things on socials about a spanish curfew from 11pm - 6am and something about the ‘state of alarm’ being in place until May 2021??

Yeah basically it's started from today. 11pm - 6am (they're trying to extend to 7am)
They want it in place until May (not confirmed I don't think) but it can end sooner if all goes well

they haven't said they want that night curfew in place until then.

what they said is they might want to have the state of alarm valid until then if needed - with whatever measures.

fine but important difference

Ahh gotcha. I thought it meant the whole thing running through until then.

sometimes is confusing what ‘state of alarm’ means because there’s so many conditions and’levels’

And actually, it's probably helpful to know this far in advance what the rules are likely to be like in May in terms of businesses planning what they can actually do.
Yes it is for sure!

Really hard at the moment, I am grateful to still have a job at the moment etc and can afford to pay bills and eat etc but not having a life nowadays is difficult for everyone

It's like putting your life on hold... Can see why some things have to be done but its like groundhog day! Can't wait for this virus shit to be over
