My hair dresser was telling me that her mum put cabbage in a cooler bag outside, because her fridge and freezer where both completely full ??‍♂️?‍♂️?‍♂️

This is why the world ends lol!

We (California) are officially on lock down. I think we can still go to the grocery store if we need to; though I'm staying home. I did delivery for the bulk of my shopping, but there are some things I forgot/should have ordered. Like the drink stuff I add to my water; I drink a ton of it every day. Life just isn't the same... :)

Though at least in California (and guidance here in Virginia is the same), it's still OK to go out for a walk / run / jog to get some exercise and fresh air so long as you maintain a safe distance from others. Fortunately they seem to agree that the risk of infection in those circumstances is very low, and that exercise and time outside is beneficial for everyone's physical and mental health.

I just hope people can be responsible with these allowances so they don't need to be taken away <looking at you, spring breakers>

I think at this stage the island is going to have a year 2 to breathe and come back stronger than ever... and cheaper of course as people won't be able or want to spend money Willy Nilly..
This is devestaating to not go a year to ibiza.. But I think you are right

the main issue I see right now is the following...

it's clear the lockdown won't last forever. purely from an economic point of view I cannot see countries being kept on lockdown for months on end. two months maybe or three at a push, but at some point every country will have to open up again.

for ibiza though, with its big clubs, I truly doubt the government will allow the clubs to open at full capacity right away once the lockdown is over. one I think they'll have to open later than other businesses and two, possibly with a reduced capacity. and here lies the issue - no club will be able to pay high DJ fees if they're not allowed to fill the clubs.

I'm trying to be realistic here. at this point I think ibiza will open at some stage this summer, but if I had to guess, probably only on a low flame.

so....afternoons on the beach and evenings on the balcony it is!

Do we even know how accurate the figures are anymore even they are not testing for corona anymore

Not really. There is a shortage of testing in most countries.

Also, once the outbreak reaches a certain point countries stop testing mild cases. The protocol seems to be, "if you think you need to be tested, just assume you have the virus and stay home." If you do not require significant medical treatment they do not want you near a hospital / medical facility. It takes resources from treating the critically ill, and if you were negative going into the hospital, you might not be when you leave.
